It’s official: Bluey is taking over the Disney Parks!
While we wait for the new Bluey’s Wild World experience at Conservation Station to open at Disney World on May 26th, we’re celebrating the first Bluey parks experience over at Disneyland Resort. Bluey’s Best Day Ever!, a live show with music and games, is taking over Fantasyland on March 22nd! We got a preview of the experience, but now it’s time to talk about the new themed food at Troubadour Tavern!
Starting on March 22nd, you can stop by Troubadour Tavern to pick up some Bluey-themed eats. Just wait until you see the names of the snacks — they are all references from the show!
Pizza Girls Baked Potato
Troubadour is known for its baked potato game, so of course, there had to be one on this special menu! The Pizza Girls Baked Potato is topped with pepperoni, sausage, bacon bits, marinara, mozzarella, alfredo sauce, and a parmesan herb topper.
This is 100% the star of the show, and we could not get enough! The sauce is zesty, and the pepperoni and sausage are so flavorful. The cheese is perfectly ooey and makes for a fantastic cheese pull, and those bacon bits? Yeah, they just bring it all together. We cannot recommend this one enough!
Poffertjes! Poffertjes!
It’s no secret what you’re getting with this dish! Poffertjes are mini Dutch pancakes topped with buttered condensed milk and powdered sugar.
These are doughy in the best way, and are a great little sweet treat. They’re fluffy and perfectly cooked, but they’re not crispy at all, so that’s something to keep in mind when it comes to texture. We’d totally get them again!
Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel
Is it asparagus? Or, is it a chocolate-covered pretzel? Who can tell?! Luckily for kids (and adults, let’s be honest) who don’t love eating their veggies, it’s the latter. The Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel is a pretzel rod coated in white chocolate.
This was WAY bigger than we expected it to be, but it was the perfect balance between white chocolate and pretzel. Beware, though — since that green food coloring is all over, it’ll turn ANYTHING it touches green, especially in the heat!
Pavlova Parfait
This layered sweet treat includes meringue bites, vanilla yogurt mousse, berry compote, vanilla cake, fresh berries, and candied kiwi!
The berry compote here is very tart, but the fresh fruit and vanilla cake help balance it out with sweetness, and we really enjoyed the difference in texture as well. The kiwi candies offered an extra crunch, and while this one isn’t “healthy,” it does feel a little fresher and “healthier” than the others, thanks to that fruit.
Lime Ice Block Drink
You’ll need some beverages to wash down the food, so let’s start with the eye-catching Lime Ice Block Drink! This is pineapple limeade with coconut milk, but the best part is that it comes with a watermelon ice block inside! You can also buy the watermelon ice block on its own, if you’d like.
This is a super sweet drink, and the popsicle melts fast into the drink, but that was okay, because those flavors worked really well together! While it is sweet, it’s also refreshing, making it great for a warmer day.
Mud Cake Cold Brew
Coffee fans! This last item is for you. The Mud Cake Cold Brew is made of Joffrey’s Coffee French Roast Cold Brew with a malted milk topper, fudge brownie bits, and sprinkles. Mud cake is a chocolate lover’s dream, but does it deliver?! This is absolutely one of the sweetest cold brews on property. It honestly tastes like a melted chocolate coffee shake, and we do feel it’s a little TOO sweet, so much so that it’s overpowering. However, if you’re someone who genuinely prefers sweet drinks, it may be a good fit for you.
While you’re here, don’t forget the Bluey Sipper for $22.99…
…or the Bluey Popcorn Bucket!
There is currently no end date for these Bluey-themed eats and drinks, so come out and try them! We’re in the Disney parks every single day, so stay tuned to DFB if you don’t want to miss a thing.
