REVIEW: There Are Lucky Charms On Our Donut…And We’re Not Mad About It

It’s almost that time of the year where everyone sports their favorite green shirt and clothes and celebrates St. Patrick’s Day…and well, you can find a lot of ways to celebrate in Disney World.

Disney Springs is especially a great place to celebrate the holiday, especially with Raglan Road throwing its annual Mighty Festival, but there’s another place you’ll want to stop by if you’ll be visiting Disney World on or right before March 17th. That’s Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, who have a special donut available for the big day.

Meet the Luck of the Irish Donut. It’s a donut with vanilla icing, dipped in green shamrock candies and topped with Lucky Charms, Sour Patch crumbles, a gummy rainbow, vanilla buttercream, and a chocolate gold coin…you know, in case you have even more luck. Seriously, after you eat this donut, you might want to play the lottery because you’ll be feeling VERY lucky. Granted, this is Everglazed’s standard donut underneath everything, but that donut is dense, fluffy, and fresh.

We loved the sprinkles…they weren’t just cute, but they also added a nice, sweet crunch. Our favorite part, though, was the Lucky Charms on top. They added a nice, snappy texture and flavor to everything. The vanilla buttercream was creamy and sweet, but not too much so. The rainbow was basically an Airhead rainbow strip, but we loved it. The chocolate coin was also a nice addition, especially if you love chocolate.

Should you run to Everglazed to grab this donut? Well, if you’re in Disney Springs, why not? We’re sure kids are going to love it, too, what with the Lucky Charms and all, but we also thought the donut was “magically delicious.”
