We’ve spent a lot of nights in a lot of Disney World hotel rooms, and we’re here to tell you that not all beds are created equal.
When you’re dropping serious cash on a Disney World trip, the quality of your sleep matters more than you might think. There’s a real difference between waking up well-rested and ready to tackle the parks versus dragging yourself out of a bed that didn’t do you any favors. We’ve done the testing so you don’t have to, and we’re breaking down the seven best beds on Disney World property so you know exactly what you’re booking.
Deluxe Resort King Beds (Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, and Beach Club)
Disney’s Deluxe Resorts sit at the top of the hotel tier system, which means the highest price tags but also the best amenities offered. That quality absolutely carries over to the beds, and the king rooms at these properties are genuinely impressive. They’re not always the right fit for every group, especially families with kids who need multiple beds, but when you can swing a king room, you’re in for something special.
From our experience, these beds hit a sweet spot between soft and supportive that’s hard to nail. You’ve got enough give to sink in comfortably, but there’s still enough firmness underneath to actually feel rested in the morning. They’re the kind of beds where you don’t really have to think about it, you just sleep well.
Our personal favorites among Disney-owned properties are the king beds at the Wilderness Lodge, the Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort. All four of these deliver what we’d call the peak of standard Disney hotel sleeping experiences. That said, they might not actually be the single best beds you’ll find anywhere on Disney World property.
Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort
Now we’re stepping outside of Disney-owned hotels, because the Four Seasons Resort Orlando is sitting right there on Disney World property near the Magic Kingdom, and it absolutely cannot be ignored. The Four Seasons brand has a well-earned reputation for world-class beds, and the Orlando location is no exception. Honestly, we’d put these among the best hotel beds we’ve ever slept in, full stop.
The level of comfort here is genuinely next level, and the Four Seasons themselves clearly know it. They actually send marketing emails to past guests where you can purchase the same bedding and mattress materials used in the hotel for your own home. When a hotel is so confident in their beds that they’re selling you the experience to take home, that tells you something.
Swan and Dolphin Resorts: The Westin Heavenly Bed
If the Four Seasons is going to have any real competition on Disney World property, it’s coming from the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. These hotels use the Westin Heavenly Bed, and the name isn’t an exaggeration. We’re talking a pillow-top mattress, a white goose-down comforter, and four seriously overstuffed pillows that make climbing into bed feel like an event.
On a technical level, the Heavenly Bed is doing a lot of work. The mattress features reinforced pocketed coil technology that distributes your weight evenly throughout the night. Layers of temperature-regulating gel-infused foam stimulate airflow and sit atop individually pocketed coils designed to relieve pressure points and reduce motion transfer. If you share a bed with someone who moves around a lot, that last part alone is worth it.
There’s also a silver fiber weave worked into the bedding that delivers natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, while simultaneously pulling heat away from your body to keep you cool all night long. It’s genuinely impressive engineering dressed up in very cozy packaging.
A great hotel bed might not be the first thing people think about when planning a Disney trip, but trust us when we say it can make a huge difference. After walking miles through the parks, getting quality sleep is the reset your body really needs. And if you want the best chance at waking up refreshed for another park day, these seven beds are the ones we keep coming back to.
