Disney World Announces Hotel Refurbishment That Will Last Almost a FULL YEAR

Another refurbishment is hitting Disney World this summer!

Disney World has so much construction going on, and it looks like they’re adding even more to that starting in May. Disney World just announced that the All-Star Movies Resort is starting room refurbishments in late May of 2026. Let’s take a look at all the details.

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will be undergoing refurbishment for its rooms starting in late May, and the work is scheduled to run through the end of January 2027. So, we’ll be seeing just over eight months of construction activity taking place at the value resort.

Disney says guests staying during the refurbishment may see or hear construction work, and alternate paths of travel may be in place at times. There is no word on which specific room buildings will be affected first when the refurb starts or how the work will be phased across the property. With every room refurbishment Disney does, they tend to close sections progressively.

World Premiere Food Court

If you have a plan to stay at the resort this summer, there is a chance you’ll hear some construction noise during your stay. Some walking routes around the resort may change as well, which means it might be smart to walk around to get familiar with the area.

Luggage Check

All the resort’s amenities are expected to remain open, which includes The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool, which are not listed as affected by the refurbishment.

Staying at the resort won’t be that much different than when you normally would, but if the construction may bother you, it might be smart to choose another resort destination.
