The age-old question – Lightning Lane or Standby???
Disney just confirmed their Lightning Lane prices for March, so we’re helping you sort through it to see if skipping the lines is right for you!
Hold up. How do Lightning Lanes work?
Let’s face it — this system can get really confusing, really fast. Skip-the-line passes have seen some drastic personality changes over the past few years, but here’s how it works right now.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass
If the Lightning Lane types are the Heathers, this one is the queen bee, Heather Chandler. This is a more affordable option that allows you to skip the line at several attractions throughout the day.
Festival of the Lion King Lightning Lane
When purchasing Multi Pass, you can make up to THREE Lightning Lane selections in a park in advance of your visit. Additionally, you can choose available times as you make your attraction selections, and you can continue to hold up to three Lighting Lane Multi Pass selections at a time.
Lightning Lane Single Pass
On the other hand, you might want to purchase Lightning Lane Single Passes via the My Disney Experience app. It is essentially a pay-per-ride service. You’ll pay a fee to use the Lightning Lane for an individual, in-demand attraction.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane
These are the rides with Lightning Lane Single Pass eligibility:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom
- TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT
- Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Lightning Lane Premier Pass
Finally, if you’re looking to splurge, Premier Pass is for you. This inclusive option grants one-time entry into EVERY Lightning Lane entry in a given park for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new Lightning Lane reservations throughout the day, and granting the ability to simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time).
