We all know that this is the year Toy Story 5 comes out, but don’t sleep on the other Pixar movie that is releasing to theatres in two weeks!

Disney Pixar’s Hoppers is releasing to theatres on March 6th, and we’re looking forward to this new original story in the Pixar library. Now, as much as I love a good theatre-going experience, I do appreciate saving some money and watching movies from the comfort of my own home. So the real question is, when does the movie come to Disney+?
Hoppers tells the story of a girl named Mabel, who has discovered that scientists have found a way to “hop” their human minds into lifelike robotic bodies. Mabel is an animal lover who uses that technology to “become” a robotic beaver so she can prevent a construction company’s plans to destroy a local animal habitat.

The movie features a cast including Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco, Meryl Streep, Demetri Martin, Heidi Klum, and more. We’ve seen all the trailers, and we’re looking forward to this new movie.

Obviously, with the movie coming out on March 6th, Disney hasn’t made any announcement as to when the movie could come to Disney+. So, to figure out the timeframe of when this could come to Disney+, we’ll have to look at some of Pixar’s latest movies.

Elio was the last movie to come out, and that released on June 20th, 2025. It didn’t release on Disney+ until September 17th — almost three months later. Inside Out 2 dropped in theatres on June 10th, 2024, and didn’t make its way to Disney+ until September 25th. So, a movie like Inside Out 2 took over three months to release on Disney+, and that could’ve been due to the movie’s box office success.

For Hoppers, it’s safe to assume it will follow that same three-month period, which puts its Disney+ release in that June timeframe. Interestingly enough, that would put Hoppers on Disney+ right around the time Toy Story 5 releases in theatres (June 19th). So, it wouldn’t be surprising if Disney puts Hoppers on Disney+ a little earlier, as they’ll want everyone going out to Toy Story 5, and not staying home watching another movie.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for how the movie performs once it releases, and any information Disney drops about Disney+ in the future. To stay up to date on all the latest Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to Disney Food Blog.
