It’s hard to believe that the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is turning 30 years old next year! To celebrate, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will be hosted by some of our favorite classic Disney characters.

The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place on January 6th through 10th, 2027. This time around, Donald will be the Marathon Weekend’s inaugural mascot!

The 5K will be held on Thursday, January 7th. The 5K has a staggered start, with the earliest start time at 4:30 AM and the latest at 7:30 AM. It will be hosted by our favorite pup, Pluto!

The 10K will be on Friday, January 8th, at 5 AM. These 6.2 mischievous miles will be hosted by Chip and Dale!

The Half Marathon is on Saturday, January 9th, at 5 AM. It will be hosted by the dynamic duo, Donald and Daisy!

The Walt Disney World Marathon will be held on Sunday, January 10th, at 4:30 AM. It’ll be hosted by the leaders of the club, Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

There will also be a Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge hosted by Goofy! Finish both the half-marathon and marathon for a total of 39.3 miles and get a medal with Goofy and Donald.

This year, the Dopey Challenge will be hosted by Dopey himself! Finish all four races to get six medals – the four individual event medals, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge Medal, and an exclusive Dopey Challenge Medal.

To register, Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration begins on March 10th, 2026. General Registration opens March 17th, 2026, at 10 AM Eastern Time. The registration fees vary based on the date of purchase:

• 5K – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $125.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $135.00
• 10K – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $175.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $185.00
• Half Marathon – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $249.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $259.00
• Marathon – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $255.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $265.00
• Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $495.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $505.00
• Dopey Challenge – March 17th, 2026 – September 14th, 2026: $769.00, Beginning September 15th, 2026: $779.00
