When it comes to Walt Disney World’s busiest – and most popular – attractions, may riders have specific desires: Specific time of day to ride, specific ride vehicles, and even specific seats.
Whether you are using Lightning Lanes to skip the lines or you’re waiting a while in a standard queue, you’ll want to have the best riding experience possible. There are certain attractions that we think have better seats than the rest of the ride vehicle. But how do you know which ones they are and how do you get these seats? Well, we have a former Cast Member ready to help.
The best way to get a specific seat at any Disney attraction is to request it! Just ask the Cast Member who is giving directions before you get on and if it is possible, they can try to help make it happen. This can depend on other factors like party size and availability. You may also have to wait longer for a special request, but it could be worth it! Now, let’s talk about which seats to request.

Cosmic Rewind
First up and a very popular one is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. The park’s most popular E-Ticket attraction, this Marvel-themed coaster follows the titular Guardians on a journey back to the big bang and creation of the universe itself, all set to a rockin’ soundtrack.
You’ll want to ask for row 9 or 10. The ride will launch BACKWARDS, so that you’re feeling the same perceived speed that you would at the back of the coaster, but backwards. You also get to be in the front closest to the “big” before the jumpback.

Speaking of EPCOT, I will also ask for a spot in section B row 2 (or section B row 1 if you don’t like feet in your face) on Soarin’ Around the World, so that you see the screen without squiggles and curves.
These seats provide the best experience on Soarin’, which mimics a hanggliding journey around the world utilizing a simulator theater.

Over at Magic Kingdom, I prefer the back of Space Mountain.

Space Mountain
The legendary – some would argue legendarily painful – coaster mimics a journey through space.

If you want to not get as wet on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, ask for the back row. We can’t promise you’ll be completely dry, but it could help.

Down they go!
The logflume attraction features several drops, culminating in a massive plunge into the bayou.

Let’s head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On Kilimanjaro Safaris, you’ll want to try to sit on the left of the truck.

Safari
This allows you to have the best view of some key animals like lions, elephants, and cheetahs on this recreation of an Afircan safari.

The front row of Expedition Everest is worth the wait as well. At the peak before the train heads backwards, you will be able to really see other Disney icons!
It will also give you a great view of the mysterious Yeti who sits (unmoving) at the center of this attraction, which mimics a journey through the Himalayas.
How Fast is Expedition Everest?
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, being the pilots on the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is so fun — although, maybe a little stressful! You’re in charge of the direction of the ship so you’re job is important.

Slinky Dog Dash
For Slinky Dog Dash- which mimics a trip riding on the Toy Story chracter through a toy playset – I prefer the back of Slinky because the front row has a partially blocked view because of Slinky’s head. For more Disney World tips and tricks, be sure to follow us at DFB.
