Do you live in Florida and are dreaming about a nice tropical island vacation? Are you planning on flying out of Tampa International Airport?
Now, we don’t talk a LOT about Tampa International Airport, but we know we’ve got some Florida locals who read us, so we want to keep y’all in the loop, too. If you’re wanting to take a nice vacation somewhere warm, you’re in a luck. A new nonstop flight is being added to Tampa International Airport!
Budget airline Breeze Airways has added a new nonstop flight from Tampa International Airport to Nassau, Bahamas. So, yes, if you’re looking for an excuse to take a trip to the Bahamas, you have a new option. This will also be the first nonstop jet service offered from the Tampa airport to Nassau in 20 years!
Flights to Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau will begin on June 11th and will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. This makes 22 international nonstop flights that you can take at the Tampa International Airport.
“Tampa International Airport is thrilled to add this popular Caribbean destination to our nonstop route map with our wonderful Breeze Airways partners, who have been rapidly growing their footprint at TPA since their first-ever flight launched here in 2021,” Tampa International Airport CEO Michael Stephens said. “We look forward to celebrating this new Nassau service – Breeze’s first international destination from America’s Favorite Airport – and anticipate many more celebrations to come.”
So if Tampa is your home airport or you have plans of using the airport this summer, you can fly to the Bahamas nonstop. It’s always nice having more options, right?
We’ll keep an eye out for more flight updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
