We can’t be the only ones who feel like we need to grab a sweet treat every time we visit Magic Kingdom!

YUM!
On our last visit to the Magic Kingdom, we had to stop by the Main Street Confectionery to try two brand-new cupcake flavors. We knew that was the right choice from the moment we laid eyes on them. Are these something you should try on your next Magic Kingdom day? Let’s find out!
The Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom just dropped two new cupcakes — the Mickey Cereal Cupcake and the Mickey Espresso Cupcake! We were intrigued by both of them from their name and the way they looked in that shiny case.

New cupcakes!
The first one we tried was the Mickey Cereal Cupcake for $6.99. It was a cereal-flavored cupcake with buttercream frosting and dark chocolatey ears, topped with M&M’s Milk Chocolate Minis.

Mickey Cereal Cupcake!
The frosting and cupcake had almost a light butterscotch flavor to them, but it was very light. The butterscotch flavor wasn’t in your face or anything like that. The frosting on this cupcake was very dense. It was honestly a little difficult to get through with a knife or a fork — that kind of dense.

You should try it!
The cupcake was slightly dry, but this would be a good option for vanilla cupcake fans. It’s simple, with a little bit of a twist to it! We found the cupcake was very crumbly. The Mickey ears are dark chocolate and have quite a snap to them. It takes a bit of a bite to get a piece.

Let’s take a bite!
Then we tried the Mickey Espresso Cupcake for $6.99. It was a chocolate cupcake with espresso-flavored buttercream frosting, dark Chocolatey ears, and DOVE Chocolate Pieces on top.

Mickey Espresso Cupcake
The cupcake itself is just a chocolate flavor, and the espresso is all in the frosting. Again, dense frosting like the other one, and it was a slightly dry cupcake. This one was falling apart even more than the cereal one. When you cut the cupcake, it almost feels like you need to hold it together.

It looks tasty!
The frosting is like a chocolate espresso flavor. The espresso flavor is light and sweet, comparable to an espresso ice cream, rather than tasting like you are drinking an espresso. The chocolate and espresso combination is good, just need to make sure you get a bit of cupcake and a bit of frosting.

Let’s give it a bite
Overall, they’re tasty treats, but there are a couple of aspects that make it harder to eat. If you’re in a cake type of mood, we think these are worth a grab at Magic Kingdom! For more food reviews, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog.
