Disney has officially revealed the themes for the upcoming Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, and they’re packed with classic characters, colorful vibes, and fall-festival fun. If you’ve been thinking about running (or spectating) this race weekend, here’s everything you need to know.
runDisney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is one of the most flavorful race weekends on the runDisney calendar, bringing runners together at Disney World in the fall while the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing. The weekend offers racers the chance to participate in a variety of distances — from the themed 5K and 10K to the classic half marathon, plus optional challenges that combine distances for extra medals and bragging rights.

Traditionally held in October, Wine & Dine blends Disney’s love of good food with athletic achievement. This year’s race weekend will fall between October 22nd and 25th. runDisney participants experience courses that wind through scenic parts of Disney World Resort (typically before the parks officially open) and earn commemorative medals tailored to the weekend’s festivities. Finishers often celebrate with EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival offerings, and races culminate in fun post-race experiences, including an after-party in EPCOT with food, drinks, and entertainment for runners and registered guests.

runDisney Finish Line
For the 2026 weekend, runDisney recently revealed fresh themes tied to beloved Disney properties that bring a new storyline to each race distance. The 5K will be inspired by The Aristocats, the 10K will feature The Three Caballeros, and the half marathon will center on Mary Poppins, giving runners a playful narrative theme to match the festive season. There’s even a theme for the Two Course Challenge (featuring Grumpy) that draws on classic Disney characters and adds an extra layer of race-weekend excitement.
