Here are our best Disney World hotel hacks.
Take the First Bus
Some resorts are within walking distance, so if you find yourself waiting for a bus at the end of the night after a long theme park day, just take the first bus that shows up. For example, if you’re staying at All-Star Movies Resort, just take the first All-Star bus that shows up and walk the rest of the way. Or if you’re staying at Port Orleans — Riverside Resort and the first bus to show up is for Port Orleans — French Quarter, just take that bus and walk.
This works out great for the hotels in the EPCOT area, too, because Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, Yacht Club Resort, and Beach Club Resort are all within walking distance of each other. We know, we know, you might not want to do extra walking, but you might get back to your room faster that way.
4 Rookie MISTAKES People Make Using Disney World Transportation
Book with a Travel Agent
Want to know how to get the BEST deal on a Disney World trip? Book with a travel agent, like with our friends over at Small World Vacations. It’s 100% free, and your travel agent will take a lot of the stress out of planning PLUS they’ll be knowledgeable on any discounts or deals that can help save you money.
Even better? If you book your Disney World trip with a travel agent and a better deal comes along, your travel agent will rebook your trip for you at THAT price, and you’ll end up getting some of your original $$$ back! How’s that for NICE?

Room Requests
Okay, so this isn’t something we can guarantee that will work every time, but it’s worked for us often. You can make a room request from your hotel (as long as it’s within reason — don’t be thinking you’ll get a concierge room if you’ve only booked a standard room), and Disney will do its best to honor your request.
Our best example of this is if you’ve booked a standard room at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can request a partial savannah view room, and you may end up with a room that partially overlooks the savannah, although actual savannah rooms cost more to book. Although you can make some room requests via My Disney Experience, others may require you to contact the hotel directly before your check-in date. So we hope that gives you some ideas for your next Disney World trip. Stay tuned to DFB for all things Disney!
