Today is a BIG day for fans of Gideon’s Bakehouse!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is celebrating its 5th anniversary today (January 16th), and it’s a special type of celebration. Gideon’s was giving out free gifts this morning for the anniversary, but the bigger gift has to be the huge news they just dropped!

Gideon’s dropped some MASSIVE news about a new location in Disney Springs! According to the Orlando Sentinel, “a fast casual celebration of savory” called Six Ravens will open later this year.

It is set to open mid-year in The Landing, just a few doors down from Gideon’s Bakehouse. The menu will feature all new offerings, including hand pie sandwiches called coffyns, housemade yeast rolls with fillings that support local.

On Instagram, Gideon’s shared some more photos and what seems to be a logo for the new spot. The post said they were skeptical about creating another small shop, but then asked, “What if we created a place that offered up savory delights in collaboration with some of our favorite Central Florida chefs?”

Gideon’s owner Steve Lewis said, “At the end of the day, it was The Polite Pig [owners, James and Julie Petrakis] that were kind enough to put a Gideon’s cookie on as a secret menu item. It’s always been in the back of my head that I need to repay that favor.”

They teased that they were dropping an announcement today for the anniversary celebration, but nothing could’ve prepared us for this! We’ve been watching the construction at the former Art of Shaving location with Gideon’s themed decals on the windows. Now, it’s all starting to make sense!

Earlier this week, Gideon’s started off its celebration by giving out new limited-edition commemorative art prints to the first 1000 transactions of the day, for free. This new print features Gideon’s Morsels version of the Gargoyle and perfectly mimics the original Gargoyle print!

If you missed out on the print, Gideon’s is offering an alternative color version of this print, signed by Gideon’s art director, Michael Reyes. You’ll be able to purchase this one and have until Monday, January 19th, at 10 AM EST to place your order.
