This Disney Springs Spot Just Quietly Closed With No Warning

Well, it’s not every day that we walk into Disney World only to see that something has completely closed without a word to anyone.

Now, we ARE in Disney World every day, and we walk around the parks to try and catch things just like this, because as wild as it sounds, things ARE changing in the resort every single day. We stepped into Disney Springs today to check out the Lime Garage closure, which we’ve known was coming for many months, but then we spotted another closure — Marketplace Snacks is somehow completely…and no one has said ANYTHING about it.

We, quite literally, stood in front of this spot for five minutes, trying to figure out what was going on. Marketplace Snacks is TOTALLY closed. The menu is gone, the windows are closed, and we were scratching our heads, wondering what was going on.

Marketplace Snacks closed?!

We checked online, and this spot is still listing normal hours for today, which is very unlike Disney. They’re usually pretty quick at updating websites with current information.

After about half an hour, we circled back around to see that Cast Members had rolled a cart over with Entrance and Exit signs, and we were told that this spot is under refurbishment beginning today! We weren’t told what it’s for, how long it’s expected to last, or anything more about it, only that it’s under refurb, instead of being closed for good (thank GOODNESS!).

The signs have all been put up too!

This is all VERY strange, considering it’s not like Disney to begin a refurbishment without changing hours online at all, even if it happens the day of. However, it’s now been multiple hours past 11 when this spot was supposed to open, and hours have not changed online.
