One of our favorite things about new months in Disney Springs is that there are NEW items at select locations that you can only grab during that month!

Time for new treats!

Even though it’s chilly in January in Orlando, we’re not opposed to grabbing some sweet treats at Swirls on the Water, which is one of our favorite spots to grab frozen treats and Dole Whip in the shopping and dining district. There are THREE new treats to snag this month, and we’ve gotta say, they’re all pretty refreshing!

First on our list was the Black Vanilla Cone for $6.29, which was full of mango and strawberry flavor that blended perfectly together. It’s a light and refreshing treat perfect for spring, even though we’re still a few months away. The vanilla coating on the waffle cone is somewhat thick when eaten on its own (as it’s the white chocolate coating, not the waffle cone itself), but it was balanced out when eaten with the Dole whip. We highly recommend!

Next up was the Dole Whip Sampler for $8.99, which comes with three flavors: DOLE Whip® Pineapple with Vanilla Soft-serve and Pineapple Wedge, DOLE Whip® Cherry with Chocolate Soft-serve and Morello Cherry Sauce, and DOLE Whip® Strawberry, DOLE Whip® Mango, and Diced Strawberries and Mangoes.

The new flavor here in this sampler is the DOLE Whip® Cherry with Chocolate Soft-serve, and we loved how pleasantly tart the cherry flavor was and how it blends perfectly with the sweetness of the chocolate. It is the perfect Valentine’s treat with that classic flavor pairing, and we couldn’t ask for anything more. If you’re a fan of chocolate and cherries, this is 100% for you!

DOLE Whip® Cherry with Chocolate Soft-serve

Finally, we’ve got the Valentine’s Morello Cherry Sundae for $7.29, which is made with Dole Whip Cherry, Chocolate soft-serve, Valentine sprinkles, Morello cherry sauce, and a Maraschino cherry in a waffle bowl.

The cherry and chocolate are, again, very balanced in this, and there’s plenty of the cherry sauce for the whole treat, which means that it’s easy to eat, since it’s not too rich or heavy. We love that you can use pieces of the waffle cone bowl to dip in the ice cream and Dole whip to give you a little extra crunch, and overall, if you’re a fan of cherry and chocolate, you CANNOT miss this one!
