If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this summer, you might have already learned about two new HUGE deals that you can grab when you get ready to book your vacation.
One deal gives you two free nights and two free theme park days when you purchase a 4 to 8-day Disney theme park ticket. The other deal is for up to 30% off select Disney World hotels. And here’s the thing: you’re given a choice of which offer you want to book, so which one SHOULD you book? Well, we’re doing the math and letting you know which of these two deals is the better.
Confused about all the Disney deals and need help planning your Disney World trip? Let the professionals do it for you. Small World Vacations will make sure you get the best deal for your perfect trip and handle it all for you.
Two Free Theme-Park Tickets Deal
Let’s look at the first deal, which gives you two free nights and two free theme park days if you book at least a 4-day Disney World vacation. It’s valid for theme park admission between May 26th through September 15th, but you need to purchase your trip by February 15th. So how does this deal stack up?
Well, we looked at the cost for a sample trip from June 7th through June 13th for two adults and two children, with a stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This would be a 6-day trip, but with the deal, that means two of those theme park days are free. The price for the vacation package, including the hotel stay and a 6-day theme park ticket, is $3,766.53.
This is a great deal if you want to maximize your time in the theme parks and spend every single day in a park (and that’s something you could EASILY do). Four parks in six days gives you plenty of time to check out everything each park has to offer.
Up to 30% off Hotels
Okay, let’s look at the other offer. This one gives you up to 30% off hotels. If you book a trip for May 1st through October 4th for five or more consecutive nights, you can save up to 30% off hotels, depending on the hotel. In our example, you can save 20% off of stays for five nights or more at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
So we plugged in the same dates as before, June 7th through 13th, at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for two adults and two children. When prompted, we chose the hotel offer. The hotel rate we were quoted was $186.13 per night (the standard rate is $232.67 per night). When we add on a 6-day park ticket, the grand total comes out to $4,356.10.
As you can see, the math shows that the first deal is the better one. However, if you don’t want a 6-day theme park ticket and want to spend some time at your hotel, you could choose a 4-day theme park ticket, and the grand total would come out to $3,976.04.
The Winner:
So which deal is the better one? Well, you’ll save more money with the Two Free Nights and Park Days deal, which gets you two free hotel nights and two free park days. Of course, this depends on your priorities, how much time you want to spend in the parks, and what hotel you want to stay at (deluxe hotel bookings get 30% off standard rates). But if you’re looking to save some money on your trip, be sure to click on the 2 for free deal.
