So, we don’t want to brag or anything, but we’d like to think that Disney World listens to us when we have a valid complaint. For example, y’all know we were pretty loud about it when the hushpuppies disappeared from the menu at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom. But, lo and behold, those hushpuppies came back.

We also raised a bit of a fuss over the waffles at Sleepy Hollow when they switched from regular waffles to Mickey waffles. Now, we normally love Mickey-shaped food, but the new waffles did NOT stand up. But, hey, Disney changed those back to round waffles. Well, there’s another treat in Disney World that we think Disney listened to us about, and we’re HAPPY they did!
Okay, so Swirled Showcase likes to offer some kind of liquid nitrogen snack during EPCOT festivals. Back in 2024, the food booth offered a Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Sweet Potato Mousse with candied pecans and maple-caramel sauce for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. And if that doesn’t sound appetizing, well, we know…it really wasn’t. It looked like cat food (and we said as much).

Well, Disney seemed to have learned its lesson and offered a Holiday Mickey-shaped Liquid Nitrogen Pop for the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, which turned out to be super cute and pretty tasty. It was also so much fun to watch the Disney chefs make it.

Now, the pop we could get behind. So we were happy to see it return as the Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop with berry sponge cake, white chocolate ganache, and colorful chocolate splats at the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. It was even cuter and tastier! So the cake pop was a win!

However, Disney got a little creative again with the liquid nitrogen snack at the 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Now, we didn’t mind because the Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse, featuring Philadelphia Cream Cheese, candied pecans, and maple-caramel sauce, really wowed us! It tasted like fall, and it looked nice, too.

Well, that leads us to the horror show that was Swirled Showcase’s liquid nitrogen snack at the 2025 Festival of the Holidays. The Liquid Nitrogen Chocolate-Peppermint Mousse featuring M&M’S Holiday Mint Chocolate Candies looked like well, it looked like something our cat puked up, with M&MS thrown on top. Granted, it tasted okay, but we had to close our eyes to eat it.

Well, we think Disney got the memo, because…whew…the Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop is making a comeback for the 2026 Festival of the Arts, which begins on January 16th and runs through February 23rd. This is a much more eye-appealing treat. It makes sense that the pretty treat ends up with the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, though, because the festival is focused on the arts, including the culinary arts…and well, presentation is a huge part of that.

This year’s cake pop is a little different, too: instead of a berry sponge cake, it’s got a cotton candy sponge cake. We can’t wait to try it out! We’ll be at the festival on day one trying EVERYTHING, so you’ll want to make sure to stay tuned to DFB for ALL the reviews!

Silly question regarding the Food and Wine Festival, they had Ireland before but for the past 2 years that I have gone they are no longer there? I loved them, why are they no longer there?
We liked the liquid nitrogen treats and so did many others. A cake pop is substandard and doesn’t take imagination. While certain foods might not look good, the flavor combination tasted good.
