In 2025, Disney introduced a new water park perk for hotel guests, which gave each member of their party admission to one of Walt Disney World’s water parks on their check-in day.

That perk is continuing in 2026 — but only through select dates. Up until now, Disney hadn’t announced the official dates when hotel guests could take advantage of these free tickets, but now we officially know that you can utilize this perk from May 26th through September 8th, 2026. We’ve got all the details below!
Disney World debuted a brand-new perk for hotel guests in 2025: free water park tickets to use on your check-in day. This offer was a great way to spend your arrival day, and we are excited that the perk has been extended into 2026. However, a major change is coming to the perk. In 2025, it was available at any time, but in 2026, it will ONLY be available during the summer.

Disney has officially announced that the 2026 water park ticket perk will be available for hotel guests from May 26th through September 8th — just for the summer months.

If this is a perk that your family was hoping to take advantage of, make sure you plan accordingly! Don’t forget to pack your swimwear, and you’ll probably want to keep it handy so you can easily access it if you’re looking to catch some waves or spend some time in one of Disney’s water parks.

Keep in mind, though, that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closing for the season on February 15th so Disney can do some park maintenance and refurbishment. This means that Blizzard Beach will be open beginning on February 15th.

But, Disney recently announced that BOTH water parks will be open during this time period, as part of the Cool Kids’ Summer offerings! Right now, there’s no word on the official reopening date for Typhoon Lagoon, but we’ll let you know as soon as that date is announced.

No, staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin (or Swan Reserve) does not include the free water park day perk, as this benefit is exclusive to the official Disney Resorts Collection hotels, which the Swan and Dolphin are not, even though they offer other benefits like Early Entry.
