We’re so glad to see Disney World making updates to areas that have needed a new sparkle. The Little Mermaid stage show at Hollywood Studios got a facelift, an entire new land dedicated to the Villains is being added to Magic Kingdom, and hotel food courts have gotten a bit of new magic. It’s great that many places around the resort are getting the attention they deserve.
Unfortunately, like us, you might have noticed that isn’t the case for every spot in Disney World that needs some love. While Hollywood Studios is getting some revamping (a new land and a ride re-theme), there’s one crusty restaurant that’s in dire need of some new life, and we know just what would help it.
Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios is an old Hollywood-themed restaurant that serves a buffet and a meet-and-greet with some rare Disney characters. Until recently, you could share breakfast with a few of the Disney Jr. characters, such as Doc McStuffins and Vampirina. But now breakfast offers the same character experience as lunch and dinner.
While the experience for the three meal options at Hollywood & Vine is neat (you get to visit Minnie and friends for a seasonal dine that rotates throughout the year) and the food is pretty good, many kiddos enjoyed getting to see their favorite Disney Jr. pals. We know they aren’t leaving Hollywood Studios for good (Disney announced a future Disney Jr. show coming to the park), but the Minnie and friends meal is not a very unique idea, making this restaurant less than exciting.
REVIEW: Disney Characters (!!!) Are HIDING at an Underrated Hollywood Studios Restaurant
For example, you can already dine with Mickey and friends at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, and at Garden Grill inside EPCOT. Another Minnie and Mickey character meal feels crusty and a little lackluster when there are SO many other amazing Disney characters that people love. And we know exactly who we want to see come to Hollywood & Vine.
Bluey and Bingo are coming to Disney World in 2026! These two Australian doggos are beloved by kids and parents around the world. Just imagine getting to sit down with the two sisters (and maybe some friends, Mum (Chilli), and Dad (Bandit)?) for a bite. Kids and their parents would be jumping up and down with excitement.
Picture the restaurant getting a bit of a makeover to look like the Healer’s kitchen and the Dance Mode song coming on every so often for a short little dance party. It would be a hit, and 100% breathe new life into that crusty place. Bluey is Gen A and Gen B’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and we want to see the Grannies! Of course, some Australian-influenced food options on the buffet would be a bonus point. We may be in Hollywood, but these Australian TV stars would be a hit!
Bluey and Bingo are already headed to Disney World soon, and when they’ve made their way from Australia, we think they deserve their own character dining experience. Can you imagine the joy that would be on literally everyone’s faces as they dined at Hollywood & Vine with Bluey and Bingo?! This is what Disney ought to do with this underrated restaurant to give it the new life it needs.

Crusty? H&V has been one of our repeatedly favorite character buffets. Quick food, very good selection and the CHARACTERS are some of the best anywhere! They really know how to engage people while not bothering the less than enthusiastic. Unlike others you usually get multiple visits over the course of a meal, like every 15-20 minutes. The characters don’t get burnt out like at CP/MK and TH/AK, I think because it’s a smaller place and they don’t have to deal with making sure everybody gets at least one visit. H&V is no problem to cover all guests in a reasonable time, so they can spend more energy on crafting their interactions.
Oh my goodness!!
Our twins are 10 so we haven’t done character dining for about 3 years, now, but go about twice a month. A Bluey themed dining experience would definitely get the entire family excited about the characters again!
That is a fabulous idea! Our grands would love a meal with Bluey!
Please Bring Back Doc McStuffins! I miss her so much and she absolutely does NOT deserve to be removed from the parks!
