You know, sometimes you just need to take a trip around the world and find some unique treats to try!

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe spread!
That’s why we went around the World Showcase at EPCOT and landed in Norway. Why did we go to Norway? We wanted to check out Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe — they have some delicious-looking treats there. We tried a few things on this visit, and now we’re sharing our thoughts with you!
Atmosphere
This bakery spot is essentially right in the middle of the pavilion, in front of the Frozen Ever After ride. It’s a cute little bakery that looks like a shop in Norway — matching the entire pavilion’s design (obviously).

Unfortunately, you can’t always get trays here, so you might have to carry everything by hand. That is 100% something to consider if you are buying a lot of goodies! There is some seating available outside, but it is pretty popular in the mornings. Also, during the festivals, it’s even harder to find a spot.

Inside!
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
The menu offers all kinds of Norwegian baked goods, and we’re not playing when we say they all sound delicious!

You’ll also find a handful of Norwegian alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Some of them have cool names like the Frozen Viking Coffee or the Kristoff Kaffe.

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
Alright, let’s talk about what we ate. First, we grabbed the Norwegian Kringla for $7.49. This is a Pretzel-shaped Pastry with Sweet Fondant, Raisins, and Chocolate Topping. To be honest, the pastry was very dry.

Norwegian Kringla
The pastry didn’t have much flavor; you mostly taste the vanilla and chocolate from the icing drizzle on top. The icing made this a very sweet treat, but it was hard to get past the dryness of the pastry. We’re thinking the dryness could have been because the pastry was sitting out for a while.

The pastry was a little dry!
The next thing we got was the Rice Cream for $4.29, made with creamy Rice Pudding topped with Strawberry Sauce. This is topped with a decent layer of strawberries in syrup, so strawberry lovers will appreciate this treat.

Rice Cream!
The cream layer isn’t overly sweet; it almost reminds us a bit of vanilla yogurt. That being said, the consistency is a bit more fluffy than yogurt. Then there is rice in the cream as well — which is tender, but depending on how you feel about things like rice pudding, the texture may not be for you. In the past, this treat has been a fan-favorite, and we can understand why!

It’s a unique treat!
We couldn’t pass up on the Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing for $7.49. This thing is MASSIVE! The cinnamon roll was very fluffy with a light flavoring of cinnamon. We do wish there was a bit more cinnamon flavor to it, but if you prefer a more doughy-tasting cinnamon roll, you will probably enjoy this a lot. The roll was also a bit dry (just like the pretzel).

Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing
You also get a huge dollop of sweet, creamy orange icing on top. The orange flavoring tastes very natural, and you can even see little pieces of orange zest. It isn’t an overpowering flavor, but it adds a great bit of citrus and freshness to the cinnamon roll.

This looks delicious!
Last, but certainly not least, we had the School Bread for $5.49. This was a Sweet Roll filled with Custard and dipped in Coconut. Unfortunately, the bread was also a bit dry (clearly, there was a theme for the day). It had some cardamom mixed in, too, which added a bit of complexity to the flavor.

School Bread
There is a generous helping of custard filling the bread, which helps with the dryness. The custard is silky smooth and creamy, and the taste reminds us a bit of vanilla pudding. It had a similar consistency, just slightly fluffier. On top is a layer of sweet vanilla icing, and then it is dipped in toasted coconut.

Look at all that custard!
We really loved the crispy texture from the coconut and that deep coconut flavor. When you take a bite of everything, the coconut isn’t as prominent, but we love the hint of coconut you do get.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for some tasty baked goods that you can’t find anywhere else! Whether you’re looking for a light breakfast treat or a snack to have during the day, we really like this spot.
- You’re at EPCOT! Ok, EPCOT has so many great places to eat. However, this is a great quick spot to stop by. Especially if you’re wandering the World Showcase.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re not in the mood for sweets! If you’re looking for more savory and less sweet, other spots at the park are better for that.
- You want a simpler treat! Outside of the cinnamon roll, you’ll find more basic treats at EPCOT than at this spot. Especially over in the Future World side of the park.
Overall
Overall, Norway had some tasty treats to offer, our favorite being the Cinnamon Roll. We can see why guests love stopping by this place, and why it’s so busy in the morning. Were some things dry? Yes. However, that could’ve just been because they weren’t as fresh. We think you should check this spot out next time you’re in EPCOT!

Why are the VAST MAJORITY of Disney pastries INCREDIBLY DRY? I almost never get these foods because of that fact. Regardless if the item is a pastry, cookie, or cupcake…it’s dry dry dry.
They used to do a lovely roast beef sandwich there. Wish they’d bring it back.
