REVIEW: The $18 Meal You Can Totally Share at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is home to tons of our favorite eats in Disney World. In fact, there are so many great spots and options, it’s sometimes hard for us to choose what to eat when we visit!

Who’s ready for a new snack?

With that being said, when we hear that there’s a new snack or meal in the park, we say YES PLEASE and head straight there, because we almost always have high hopes. Over at Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes (not to be confused with the Yak and Yeti table service restaurant!), there’s a new entree available that caught our eye, and after trying it, the first thing that comes to mind is that you’ll want to be ready to share!

You’ll find Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes in Animal Kingdom’s Anandapur, where you’ll find Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids not far away. The newest item on the menu here is the Korean Barbecue Rib Tips for $17.99, which also come with a side of seasoned fries.

Korean Barbecue Rib Tips

Rib tips basically mean that Disney took a few ribs and cut them up, so you’ll find some bone fragments in some of them. We didn’t mind that, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye out for if you’re usually used to boneless. We did love, though, that staying true to rib form also means that it has fatty parts, meaty parts, and it all pulls off the bone very easily.

In comparison, we’ve found that the ribs over at Flame Tree Barbecue are often drier and are pretty hit or miss, so we’d choose these new rib tips over those every time. They’re juicy, tender, and have a great flavor, but they do have a bit of spice that stays on your lips, so that’s another thing to be conscious of if you’re sensitive to spice!

We also enjoyed the fries they came with, but we will admit that we wish they were just a little more seasoned! Otherwise, they were pretty solid.

Overall, we’re not sure we’d get these again unless we were sharing, because it is a pretty big portion! That absolutely makes them worth the cost though, which we appreciate.
