When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.

The Polite Pig

The Polite Pig features modern barbecue in a variety of wood-fired smoked and grilled items, and all drinks are served on tap. This is a popular restaurant at Disney Springs — and for good reason. The food here is some of the best around Disney World, certainly some of the best barbecue you’ll find on property. We recently stopped by to try a new Taco Trio — and we’re very glad we did!

Taco Trio

The Taco Trio is available for $17 and comes with a Pork Belly Taco, a Brisket Taco, and a Chicken Taco. 

This is a new favorite

The Pork Belly taco is made with sweet and spicy pineapple-guajillo glaze and crunchy jicama tomatillo slaw. The pork belly in this taco was SO good — especially with the pineapple-guajillo glaze. It was tender but with a nice chew, and tt was perfectly sweet with a kick to it from the pepper, and the jicama slaw provided a great crunch. It reminded us of a bahn mi sandwich but in taco form, which was lovely.

Pork Belly Taco

The Brisket Taco features a 3-pepper cherry glaze with roasted corn salsa. This was SUCH an interesting flavor combination. Imagine the sweet and smoky flavor of brisket, combined with a tart flavor from the pepper-cherry glaze. We loved the roasted corn salsa, which paired nicely with the smoky brisket. It was like a roasted corn pico de gallo (which also would have been a great addition to the taco). This was our reporter’s favorite of the three!

Brisket Taco

The Chicken Taco is made with a jalapeño onion jam, Alabama sauce, and fresh crisp lettuce for that perfect bite. We really, really wanted to love this one, but it was our reporter’s least favorite of the three tacos. The chicken was fresh and had a spiced rub to it — it almost reminded us of rotisserie chicken in flavor. We wish there had been more of the Alabama sauce, just to give the taco more depth. The jalapeño onion jam was spicy and sweet, and we wish there had been a bit more of that, too.
