When you’re heading to Disney World, there are lots of different things to think about. What hotel are you going to stay at? How many days will you spend in the parks? What’s the weather going to be like, and what do you need to pack to be prepared? The questions go on and on.
That’s where we come in to help! You hear us talk all the time about what’s important, or a “must have” for your vacation, and we do some intense research to ensure we’ve tried out the products ourselves and they’re REALLY worth the cost. Recently, you may have seen us, as well as some other Disney goers, talk about something called a Dreamegg and tell you it’s TOTALLY needed for your trip. But what is it, exactly, and how is it going to make your trip better?
Get A Great Night’s Sleep No Matter Where You Are
The Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine may look tiny, and like it may not make much of a difference when you’re trying to get the best sleep you can in Disney World (or anywhere, for that matter), but this thing is tiny but mighty! If you want a truly peaceful night’s sleep, nap, or just a way to rest your eyes, this will make it much easier by masking other noises around you.
This thing is around $15 solo; when bundled with a second in multiple color combos, it’s around $30, and it can even come with a zippered travel case for around $25. Therefore, this is ABSOLUTELY worth the money! This would make an ideal present for a new parent, a college student, as a stocking stuffer, a frequent traveler, small kids, those with insomnia or difficulty getting to sleep, etc. There are truly endless possibilities here.
This thing is so small it can fit in the palm of your hand. It has the potential to be hooked up to a charger, but also has a battery. It’s got 35 different volume levels, comes in a variety of different colors, and has 16 different sounds ranging from DIFFERENT kinds of fans and fan speeds, to standard white noise, soundscapes, waterfalls, rain, birds, lullabies, and beyond. It’s also equipped with a timer button that can be set to either 30, 60, or 90-minute intervals, or set not to cut off until you turn it off when you wake. It also uses the same USB-C charger that most newer phone models have switched to using, so you don’t need to get an all-new charger.
Our reporter not only used it herself, but asked her kids to try it out too, and they loved it so much, they asked to use it the next night! We genuinely noticed quickly how well we were able to sleep after using it after a few nights, and we never want to sleep without it. While we think this is important for any trip to Disney World, no matter where you’re staying, that’s especially true if you’re staying at a Disney World Value Resort, which are most known for having the thinnest walls of all the Disney World hotels.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney news and the essentials we feel are truly needed for your upcoming trip, so stay tuned to DFB!

Concerning: After running all over a park all day or night or both? Someone has trouble going to sleep and needs white/black or yellow noise?
Unfortunately, that is the case for some of us. I have insomnia a lot myself so it’s difficult for me to go to sleep even after a full day in the parks despite also taking melatonin and benadryl. It’s always more difficult for me to sleep somewhere that’s not my own bed/home as well. The white noise definitely helps drown out other sounds so I can sleep better.
