It’s official — 2026 is shaping up to be a BIG year at Disney World!
Disney recently dropped a TON of announcements about what’s coming to the parks and more in 2026, and we can’t wait to see it all happen. From Magic Kingdom to EPCOT to Hollywood Studios and beyond, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about this huge news drop!
On December 3rd, 2025, Disney revealed a ton of updates about what’s coming to the parks and beyond in 2026. We’ve rounded up all the big news in one spot, so let’s get into it!
Magic Kingdom
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed since early January 2025 for a lengthy refurbishment, lasting over a full year — but Disney announced that it will be reopening in spring 2026!
Disney previously teased some pretty cool additions that will debut next year, including “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling)” reminiscent of the Rainbow Caverns from the original concept art.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will also reopen in spring 2026 with a ton of changes, including blasters that you can actually pick up and aim at targets with more precision!
When it reopens, we’ll see a new show scene, updated ride vehicles, gameplay enhancements, and more!
Learn more about these changes right here.
EPCOT
EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival
The 2026 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be returning from March 4th to June 1st. This festival transforms EPCOT into a total flower dreamscape. Everywhere you look, there are flowers and plants, and it brings the idea of “spring” to life.
You can expect to see gorgeous topiaries, delicious eats, and exciting entertainment like the Garden Rocks Concert Series.

Frozen Ever After
Disney previously revealed that the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff animatronics at Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion will all be getting new updates — and now we know when!
Disney has revealed that Frozen Ever After will temporarily close for refurbishment on January 26th, 2026, and reopen in February 2026 with updates to the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures!

Soarin’ Over America
Ready for takeoff? Soarin’s next destination is home with an all-new American adventure landing in 2026!
Disney announced a new Soarin’ experience in time for America’s 250th celebration, and we can expect it to come to EPCOT by Memorial Day 2026 — which is May 25th!

Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
While we don’t have a whole lot to go on for now, Disney has officially confirmed that we will be taking our final ride on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in its current form by spring 2026.
This means you’ll only have a few months into 2026 to take that superstretch limo ride through California to get to Aerosmith’s concert on time! The ride is expected to reopen in the summer, which sounds like a quick turnaround.

Magic of Disney Animation
In late summer 2026, The Magic of Disney Animation will open at the new Walt Disney Studios area — the previous home of Animation Courtyard.
The new land will retain two of Animation Courtyard’s signature attractions while introducing brand-new experiences inspired by beloved Disney characters, as well as the “Once Upon a Studio” short film!
Get more info right here.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live
A Disney Jr. show will also be coming to the area, which is officially called “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” and will debut this summer.
There will be upbeat tunes where you can dance with Mickey and Minnie as they embark on a road trip to find their pals, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto, for a party. If this show sounds familiar, that’s because it was over at Disneyland Resort in California!

Disney Springs
LEVEL99
The brand-new LEVEL99 experience coming to Disney Springs will also open sometime in 2026!
LEVEL99 is a gaming experience where you’ll “work with your friends to discover new challenges, collect all the stars, find digital treasure, and master new experiences.” So it’s part escape room, part obstacle course, and part arcade, all wrapped up in one big package.
