Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of Disney World’s most famous restaurants, and one of the most coveted dining reservations in Magic Kingdom.
But over the years, this restaurant has had a tumultuous reputation. Some love it for the incredible theme and decor. Some hate it for the high prices and mediocre food. But if you’re planning a visit for your next trip, we’re here to give you a lowdown on the menu — the good, the bad, and the hidden gem.
The BEST Thing
Let’s start out strong here. In our opinion, the best thing on the menu at Be Our Guest right now is the Steak Frites. We had these for the first time when they were a seasonal offering a while back, and WOW, they blew us away.
This is slow-roasted Butcher’s Steak served with house-cut French fries and red wine sauce. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked to a delicious medium-rare. The chef’s goal here is for the steak to be so juicy and for that red wine sauce to be so perfect that you don’t need dipping sauce for your fries.
And the salad served on the side? Light and refreshing to go with a heavier dish. We would order this again and again!

The WORST Thing
In 2025, some major menu changes hit Be Our Guest Restaurant, and from that list, we got the “worst” item — the Crème Brûlée Tart. This is made with orange custard, passion fruit meringue, and chantilly cream, and we were mainly upset with it because it replaced the old dessert trio!
The tart also didn’t really impress us. It’s not a traditional Crème Brûlée; it’s VERY heavy on the orange flavor. It would probably be a better crowd-pleaser if it were more in line with the traditional flavors.
Previously, Be Our Guest served a dessert trio with a lemon macaron, a chocolate tart with The Grey Stuff inside, and a bonbon. That dessert setup seemed to be more fitting with the restaurant’s theme and provided more variety than this one does.

The Hidden Gem
And finally, we’ve got a hidden gem to share in the form of the new Blue Crab Bisque Soup! This dish replaced the Potato and Leek Soup on the menu, and it’s finished with brandy, crème fraîche, and chive oil. You even get a lump of blue crab in the middle!
It was thick, creamy, and had a great level of brininess for a seafood dish. We were shockingly impressed by this one — it really caught us off guard!
So that’s our thoughts on Be Our Guest Restaurant. If you’re going to visit this iconic restaurant, you’ve got to know the right things to order!
