If you’re planning an upcoming trip to Universal Orlando Resort, we’ve got some news you might want to know about!
We’re always on the lookout for the latest closures at Universal that could impact your trip, and it looks like a popular restaurant is slated for refurbishment soon. Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida will be undergoing a lengthy closure in early 2026, and we’ve got all the details.
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida will be temporarily closed beginning on January 12th until Winter 2026 for renovations. While we don’t have an official reopening date just yet, so far, it sounds like the restaurant will be closed for the majority of the year.
Finnegan’s is located in the New York section of Universal Studios, and this traditional Irish-American pub is a festive bar and a full-service restaurant. Featuring authentic Irish dishes like Irish Fish & Chips, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and Dublin Lawyer, as well as classic burgers, salads, and more, it’s a great spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park while grabbing a drink or some grub.
Quite a few closures are happening around Universal Orlando from now through the new year. The Hogwarts Express will be closed throughout most of February, and Jurassic Park River Adventure will be closed from January 5th, 2026 through November 19th, 2026.
Revenge of the Mummy will be closed for a week in January, and some Volcano Bay experiences will be closed until December 18th, 2025, in addition to the park being closed on select dates. On October 26th, 2026, Volcano Bay will close until “on or before March 24th, 2027. That’s a lot to keep track of if you’re planning a 2026 trip to Universal Orlando Resort!
We’ll be on the lookout for additional closures and updates from Universal Orlando and more. In the meantime, stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest theme park news and beyond!
