Casey’s Corner is a staple Magic Kingdom counter-service restaurant. It’s one of those places that you either love or you do your best to avoid. As for us, we love a good Casey’s Corner snack, especially with some plastic cheese!
If you see us stopping by Casey’s Corner, you can probably assume we’re grabbing some corn dog nuggets and fries with a side of plastic cheese. However, we also enjoy trying the various other menu items here. Casey’s frequently offers seasonal items in addition to its staple menu. One item that is available year-round is the Chicago-style Hot Dog. Since it had been a while since we had the Chicago dog at Casey’s before, we decided it was time to give it a taste test!
The Chicago-style Hot Dog is available as an all-beef hot dog or a plant-based hot dog. Your hot dog is topped with diced tomatoes, onions, yellow mustard, and Chicago green relish. These are the typical toppings on a Chicago-style hot dog, so we weren’t too surprised by what we got. We purchased this hot dog for $13.49.
The Cast Member told us, as we headed out with our hot dog, that we would be back to thank them for their suggestion; however, this is one of the VERY rare times we probably will not be thanking them. This hot dog was not necessarily what our reporter typically has in mind when they pick out hot dog toppings.
While the hot dog itself was fine, it was the toppings that we just weren’t too sure about. The relish and onions on this hot dog are REALLY strong. You have to be someone who loves these strong flavors to truly enjoy and appreciate this hot dog. We know there are many people out there who would like the combination of mustard, relish, and onions on their hot dog, but it’s just not us.
That being said, while the Chicago-style hot dog isn’t awful, we would rather try the more adventurous, seasonal options like the Chipotle Barbecue Hot Dog or the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party exclusive Holiday Pot Roast Hot Dog. With a topping of beer cheese sauce, the Holiday Pot Roast Mini Corn Dogs are definitely more our style.
We hope that those of you who enjoy a typical Chicago-style hot dog can appreciate the one at Casey’s Corner. As for us, we will be munching away on the other options at this baseball-themed quick-service restaurant.

That’s not really a Chicago Hot Dog, it’s a very pale imitation of one.
A real one has a boiled all beef hot dog on a steamed poppy seed bun, yellow mustard, bright green sweet relish, chopped white onion, tomato slices, a dill pickle spear, sport peppers, and celery salt. It should be assembled in that order as well.
