If you’ve ever been to the Magic Kingdom, you know that walking around Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom can cause you to work up quite an appetite. That’s where this savory snack option comes in.
Now, Frontierland’s Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is often overlooked as a snack spot. It’s a stop many make to have rice bowls, burgers, or pulled pork sandwiches for lunch or dinner. But we think this is a great stop for a snack! It’s indoors (air conditioning!) with a variety of sides on the menu, and we need to tell you about our favorite one!
Queso Fries *should be* the perfect salty snack break. But are they?
The $6.99 side dish features French Fries topped with chipotle queso and pico de gallo. Our thoughts? For $7, this is a pretty decent and filling snack! The fries are your classic Disney fries, so they do get a bit soggy with the queso on them, but that’s just more incentive to eat them right away.
The queso sauce has a slight bit of spice to it, but nothing that should irritate even the mildest of palates. The pico adds a great bit of freshness, the red onions bring the crunch and tang, and the whole thing is topped with Queso Fresco. You just can’t go wrong with those creamy cheese crumbles!
The best thing about these toppings? Just how much queso Disney actually put on these fries! No one can accuse Pecos Bill of skimping here!
Next time you’re in the Magic Kingdom and in need of a salty pick-me-up, make your way to Pecos Bill’s for some Queso Fries! Stay tuned to DFB for more on the Magic Kingdom’s best snack options!

We love eating at Pecos Bill’s! I was worried about the menu change, but last year we all found something good to eat. The bowls are a godsend for GF people. The Queso Fries look delicious and will have to give them a try. Thank you, DFB!
