NEWS: Living With the Land Changes EARLY This Year To Glimmering Greenhouses

There are lots of things we love about EPCOT during the holiday season.

Glimmering Greenhouses!

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a big one, for sure, along with all the tasty snacks and treats that come with it, but one of our favorite rides in the park also gets a holiday overlay we can’t get enough of. Usually, we have to wait until the Festival of the Holidays begins to see Glimmering Greenhouses, but that’s not the case this year — it’s arrived early!

Glimmering Greenhouses is the holiday overlay version of Living With The Land, a calm, leisurely boat ride that takes you through how EPCOT grows its own food to support Disney World’s dining.

Check out the “hidden” Mickey!

While the actual ride is the same, you’ll get to see holiday decor all over the ride. Some of the hidden Mickeys have reindeer noses and antlers, you’ll spot some holiday wreaths, and there are even holiday lights up all over the ride that give it a new look as well.

We love the holiday lights!

If you want to get a really great look at what the ride looks like with all the holiday decor, we recommend riding the attraction at night, since you’ll really get to see those lights shine!

There’s so much to see

Additionally, you can check out the Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses tour, which costs between $39-$49 per person, and is a one-hour-long tour of the greenhouses and fish farm that make up The Land pavilion. In our experience, it’s super underrated, and a great way to get closer to some of the holiday decorations — especially since the tours take place at 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8 PM. We got to do this tour last year and LOVED it! You can also check out the normal Behind The Seeds Tour during the day, if you’d like.
