Enjoy the next little bit of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because next year the park will never look the same again!

Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Almost the entirety of Disney World is under construction right now. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is building a new animation courtyard, moving The Muppets to Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, and adding Monsters Inc. to where Muppet’s Courtyard used to be. Meanwhile, Magic Kingdom is getting ready to start building Piston Peak and Villains Land. Then, there’s Animal Kingdom, which will be going through a MASSIVE change!
It’s been a tough pill to swallow for many Disney fans, but the beloved Dinoland U.S.A.’s closure is inevitable. Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same.

Dinosaur
The iconic attraction DINOSAUR, along with The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge, will all be closing on February 2nd, 2026. That means the last day to experience the prehistoric land will be February 1st, 2026. It’s sad to say, but we only have a few more months to go back in time and get that Iguanodon.

DINOSAUR
Dinoland has been changing over the course of the year, as other areas like Dino-Rama and The Boneyard have been closed for a while. It’s been weird walking around that part of the park with walls put up all around it.

Pueblo Esperanza Construction
As hard as it is to say goodbye to Dinoland, we can’t wait to see what this new Tropical Americas will look like. It’s going to feature an amazing dining experience and two E-Ticket attractions — one themed to Encanto, and the other to Indiana Jones.

It’s on its way!
The new land will be called Pueblo Esperanza, and it will be a transformation that Animal Kingdom hasn’t seen since Pandora – World of Avatar. The Encanto ride will be completely new, whereas Indiana Jones will be a brand-new ride story, but will take over the Dinosaur show building.
