REVIEW: We Found Disney World Churros We Actually Recommend, and They’re Only $8

‘Tis the season for all kinds of seasonal treats for the holiday season all over Disney World resort, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Who’s ready for new churros?

Now, not every holiday treat is going to be a winner, we know that, but we go in with high hopes each time, because we want it to be a snack we’ll love! Churros are notoriously rough in Disney World, whereas they’re typically delicious in Disneyland, but over at Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs, there’s a new seasonal treat that gingerbread fans can’t miss.

There are two Sunshine Churros locations in Disney Springs, and at both of them, you can grab the Gingerbread Churro for $7.99, which is a churro rolled in gingerbread sugar, drizzled with buttercream frosting, topped with crunchy gingerbread cookie crumbs, and a sparkle of edible glitter.

This flavor is only around from November 1st through December 31st, and already right off the bat, this is a GREAT deal for two churros (that are easy to split!). We were afraid the flavor here would be too much gingerbread, but that wasn’t the case at all! It was one of the best churros we’ve had in Disney World (still no comparison to Disneyland, though), with a soft interior and crunchy exterior.

While this is a sweeter treat, it’s not overly sweet, which we appreciated. The toppings stick to the churro very well, but we even found ourselves dipping the churro into the frosting and toppings that had fallen into the container to get as much of it as we could — it was that delicious! It does have a strong gingerbread taste, so you do have to enjoy gingerbread, but those who are pretty neutral on it, too, will likely enjoy it as well.
