We miss The Great Movie Ride nearly every single time we step into Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Those gals look familiar…

Don’t get us wrong, we love Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but The Great Movie Ride was unlike any other ride around the parks — getting to see some iconic scenes from some truly timeless films and ride right through them? Now that was something truly special. While we normally just have our memories to go off of when we visit the park, it turns out, there’s a new display inside one of the shops in Hollywood Studios that’s directly from the former attraction — here’s where you can find it!

Disney is celebrating the holiday season in the parks in many ways, and in Hollywood Studios, there’s a new window display to celebrate the season that had us doing a double-take. Over at Keystone Clothiers, you’ll notice there’s a new holiday window display filled with peppermint-colored presents, columns, peppermint candies, and front and center are three mannequins in red and white peppermint-themed outfits.

If these mannequins look familiar, that’s because they ARE! These are three of the dozens of mannequins that were previously seen in the Footlight Parade scene in The Great Movie Ride, where there were numerous dancers in swim caps and swimsuits displayed. Now, three of those mannequins are being used in this holiday display!

If you look really closely, you’ll see that the ladies’ Santa hats are covering where the swim caps are covering their ears, really confirming that after some TLC, these mannequins have been brought out of retirement to bring some holly jolly joy to the park. The sheer tops of their dresses are also the same as the tops of their bathing suits from the retired attraction.

We love that Disney brought these back, and we agree completely with a comment we saw about this change — we’d love to see these ladies in this window year-round, but just have Disney change the theme to fit whatever time of year it is! That way, The Great Movie Ride will always be represented in the park.
