Let’s see… how does that song go? Oh, yeah! “Brown paper packages tied up with string… These are a few of my Favorite Things!”
Here at the 2025 Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays, though, Favorite Things isn’t just a festive tune. It also happens to be one of the Festive Foods Marketplaces (also known as Booths) at this year’s Festival of Holidays. And we’re visiting ALL of the Booths to bring you our full reviews of each one, so join us as we find out which Favorite Things have come to the Festival of Holidays!
Menu
Well, I guess these dishes really have become Favorite Things, because both the Braised Pork Belly Adobo and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Macaron have returned for this year!
For beverages, the returning Guava Melon Lassi is joined by the new Winter Citrus New York Sour.
Let’s dig in!
Eats
Let’s start with the Braised Pork Belly Adobo, which is served with garlic rice. This returning dish is $9.75.
We’re thrilled that this dish has made its way back once again! The tender pork belly is just packed with flavor, and when you combine it with the garlicky rice and especially the accompanying chicharron, you experience terrific texture variety, too. It’s a great choice if you’re in the mood for something savory.
That said, the absolute standout here is the returning Sticky Toffee Pudding Macaron! This cutie comes in at $9.00.
Mickey-shaped Macarons have been a “thing” at the Disney California Adventure Festivals for years. But we are thrilled that, out of all of them, this version, filled with vanilla buttercream, date cake, and salted toffee sauce, has been chosen to return! It’s juuuust sweet enough, with the hint of salt from the toffee, for a really nice flavor balance in contrast with the sweet vanilla buttercream and chocolate.
Plus, if you find anything cuter to eat this holiday season, I’ll be dipped!
Drinks
The Guava Melon Lassi has made its way over to Favorite Things from A Twist on Tradition, where it was served previously. This non-alcoholic option costs $7.75 and is a truly unique blend featuring guava nectar, rock melon syrup, yogurt, and honey, garnished with cinnamon whipped cream and honey-flavored cereal.
I’m telling you, this booth is living up to its name: the Guava Melon Lassi has definitely earned its spot on the list of “Favorite Things.” The melon and guava are sweet and tropical, while the yogurt and cinnamon whipped cream cut through the sweetness, adding more depth of flavor. Cheers!
New this year is the Winter Citrus New York Sour for $18.50. Bourbon, Aperol, grapefruit and lime juices, a “winter citrus syrup,” and a sweet & sour mix come together, garnished with a float of red wine.
We thought this drink was refreshing and sweet. It had a lot of citrus flavor that reminded us a bit of a margarita. The red wine is mixed in, rather than a float, and you can taste the red wine flavor in the aftertaste. It starts with lots of strong, sweet citrus flavors and ends with a red wine finish. We didn’t taste much bourbon in this drink.
So, should you make a trip to Favorite Things during the Festival of Holidays?
OVERALL
This booth is called Favorite Things for a reason, as it has some pretty mouth-watering dishes! It is hard to compete with an adorable Mickey Macaron, especially when it is a sticky toffee pudding flavor. We also love the Braised Pork Adobo and Guava Melon Lassi at this booth. The new Winter Citrus New York Sour may not be our favorite thing at this booth, but we still enjoyed it!
That’s it from Favorite Things, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
