Let’s say you’re in Disney California Adventure for Disneyland Resort’s Festival of Holidays, and wondering, “where can I find some brews and bites around here?” Well, look no further than the Festive Foods Marketplace…

One of the six Food Booths at the 2025 Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays just so happens to be Brews & Bites. Lucky you! Join us for a stop at the Brews & Bites Booth as we bring you our full review (just like we’re doing with ALL of the Festive Foods Marketplaces at the Festival of Holidays) to see if it’s worth a stop during your Festival visit.

Menu

Just a heads up about the Brews & Bites Festive Foods Marketplace (or Food Booth, as the Marketplaces are better known)… There’s only one “Bite” on the menu: the returning Chorizo Queso Fundido!

You can pair it with one — or more — of several Brews. We’ll get into the specifics below, but you can order a full-size beer or try an assortment of all four options with the Festive Beer Flight. Cookies and Cream Hazelnut Hot Cocoa is a non-alcoholic option, and the Irish Hot Cocoa Cocktail is also up for grabs.

Okay! Let’s drink some brews and have a bite, shall we?

Eats

For our bite, we have the Chorizo Queso Fundido for $8.00. This returning vegetarian dish (made with Impossible Chorizo in Festivals past) is served with tortilla chips. This cheese dip is flavorful and creamy with just a little bit of spice from the Impossible chorizo. Although the flavor here is wonderful, we just didn’t get enough chips to enjoy it. You get a generous serving size of the queso, but only about 6-8 chips. 

Okay! Let’s do some pairing next, shall we?

Drinks

First, let’s try the Cookies and Cream Hazelnut Hot Cocoa. You might remember it from when it was served at the Winter Sliderland booth last year. It’s $7.00 for the non-alcoholic version (pictured), or $19.00 for a boozy version with Irish whiskey. 

Featuring Hot Cocoa by Joffrey’s with cookies and cream flavors, it’s also made with melted chocolate, hazelnut purée, and Irish cream syrup. And if that’s not enough, it’s garnished with whipped cream. This is a fun flavored hot chocolate with just a hint of cookie and hazelnut flavors. The whipped cream melts quickly, too, which makes it creamier and sweeter.

Okay, NOW, let’s sip those BREWS! Though you can order any of the selections individually for $17.00, we’re partaking in the Festive Beer Flight for $19.50. The beers include Garage Brewing Co. Churro Ale, Brewery X Apricot Shhhwheat Ale, Unsung Brewing Co. Chocolate Snowball Blonde Ale, and Study Break Peppermint Mocha Hard Seltzer.

The Garage Brewing Co. Churro Ale has a nice cinnamon scent, with an obvious churro-like flavor. This one is fun to try and is a pretty unique ale flavor. It honestly tastes more like a cider.

The Brewery X Apricot Shhhwheat Ale is so smooth, with a nice fruity and wheaty flavor.

The Unsung Brewing Co. Chocolate Snowball Blonde Ale tastes like a regular beer going down, but then the chocolate hits as an aftertaste.

We had reservations about the Study Break Peppermint Mocha Hard Seltzer because peppermint mocha works great in coffee, but as a seltzer? We’ll say it’s wild. It’s bright green in color and tastes very minty with a hint of chocolate. It smells like a mouthwash. It’s fun to try, but honestly, we would not drink a whole can of this.

So, should you make a trip to Brews & Bites during the Festival of Holidays?

OVERALL

We’ve always loved the queso fundido here, and we will probably get it again, but we really need more chips to go with it. The beers are also unique and fun to try, so if you’re feeling a little adventurous, this is a great booth to visit for festive-themed beers you probably haven’t had before.
