REVIEW: This NEW Treat at Disney World Is a Must-Try

Let the Christmas treats at Disney World start rolling in!

Gingerbread Brownie!

We’ve been going all around Disney World to try a bunch of the new holiday treats, and there was another one we were dying to get at the Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort! If you’re in the mood for some Christmas goodies, you’re going to want to see what we think about this one.

Disney World resorts are honestly slept on when it comes to getting treats. Everyone’s mind always goes to getting something from one of the four parks, and understandably so. However, we’re here to tell you that you need to stop by the resort hotels from time to time.

Grand Floridian

We’ve been to the Gasparilla Island Grill more times than we can count. They have some delicious food offerings for breakfast and lunch. When we heard about the holiday treat that was there, we didn’t waste any time!

The treat is called the Gingerbread Brownie, and it’s available for $6.79.

We’re about to order!

This is super cute to look at! They have a couple of brownie options at this location, so it made sense that they made this new one for the holidays. It’s more of a dulce de leche brownie, and it was great. We loved the flavor, but we really wish there was more gingerbread flavor to it!

Here it is!

The only thing that really screams gingerbread with this is the little gingerbread house that sits on top. It looks like the house is going to fall off, but the icing sticks it in place very well. The gingerbread house is stupid cute — it’s like a mini constructed house. It has Mickey motifs on the front and back, and it’s covered in icing, with icicle detailing. It’s put together with chocolate as well!

The caramel icing on top is supposed to have a gingerbread spice to it, but we couldn’t taste the gingerbread at all. It tasted more like the dulce de leche caramel, and the icing is very goopy and sticky.

The brownie is very dense and thick — especially in the cooler air. It was more of a fudge brownie than a cake brownie.

Let’s take a bite!

The brownie is more for looks than for taste, to be honest. It’s worth it for the mini gingerbread house, which looks adorable and is the only thing that tastes like gingerbread with this snack. Other than that, the brownie and icing are good, but they won’t blow you away.

It was tasty!
