Disney trips are full of magic, fun, and… a surprising lack of outlets and sleep-friendly quiet.
Whether you’re staying at a Value Resort, a Deluxe Villa, or somewhere in between, there are a few hotel essentials we truly wish we had bought sooner. These items made our stay more comfortable, more organized, and honestly, a lot less chaotic.
If you’ve ever tried to fall asleep at your Disney World hotel after a long day in the parks, you probably know how not quiet it can be. Between hallway noise, kids still hyped up from fireworks, and the sound of the occasional late-night toilet flush next door, sleep can be tricky. Enter: the Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine.
This little gadget is tiny — like, literally egg-sized at just 1.6 ounces — but don’t underestimate it. It packs a serious punch when it comes to blocking out noise. With 16 different sound options, from ocean waves and rainfall to fan sounds and white noise, it’s perfect for customizing your sleep environment no matter where you are. Plus, it has 35 volume settings and a 1000mAh battery that easily lasts multiple nights on a single charge.
We’ll be honest, we were skeptics at first. But after using it for a few nights? Total game-changer. The difference in sleep quality was immediate. The first morning after using it, we woke up feeling rested for the first time mid-trip. Even the kids were into it, so much so that they asked to use it again the next night.
Our favorite features: The size, battery life, and versatility of sounds. We also love that it uses a USB-C charger (the same as most modern phones), so you don’t need to pack an extra cord.
Minor drawback: The buttons can be a little stiff if you have long nails, but honestly, that’s being a bit picky. Would we buy it again? Absolutely. In fact, this is one of those small, affordable items we’ll now gift to everyone, new parents, travelers, college students, you name it. For around $15, it’s easily one of the best travel buys we’ve found in a long time. Did it make our trip better? 100% yes. Especially at Value Resorts where the walls can be a bit thinner.
The truth is that Disney hotel rooms could stand to have more outlets. Between phones, iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods, it starts to look like a tech charging circus by the end of the day. That’s why we’re obsessed with this 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station for Apple Devices, and we wish we had bought it years ago.
For just around $22, this sleek, foldable charger can power your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. It’s also super compact and folds into itself, so it takes up almost no space in your luggage. The magnetic alignment is strong, so you don’t have to worry about your phone slipping off in the middle of the night, and it even has a small blue indicator light to show when each device is properly charging.
We also discovered a bonus feature: the AirPods pad can charge an iPad, too! So if you’re traveling with the family and need to rotate devices, this little gadget more than keeps up.
Our favorite features: It reduces cable clutter in the hotel room, charges everything overnight, and is durable despite being so lightweight. Plus, it doubles as a phone stand which is perfect for watching a show or FaceTiming friends while winding down at night.
Biggest pro: All the charging “pucks” can charge different devices if they’re MagSafe compatible, which makes it incredibly flexible. Minor drawback: The watch charging puck is fixed in the middle, so the layout can’t be rearranged, but that’s a small trade-off for everything it does right.
Would we buy it again? Absolutely. It’s one of those rare items that does exactly what it promises, and it made our small hotel room feel instantly less cluttered. Did it make our trip easier? Totally. Waking up to fully charged devices (without fighting over outlets) felt like a luxury.
MultiCharger for MagicBand+
If your family uses MagicBand+, you already know the struggle: they need to be charged daily, and those cute little chargers that come with each band? They take up a lot of outlet space. That’s where the MultiCharger for MagicBand+ comes in, and it might be one of the most underrated Disney trip essential out there.
This tiny charger lets you power up to four MagicBand+ devices at once from a single outlet. You can even plug your phone into one of the ports and still have room for three MagicBands. It’s USB-A compatible, so it works with most portable batteries, too meaning you can toss it in your park bag and recharge on the go if needed.
We’ve found this is one of those “why didn’t we have this sooner?” items. It’s especially handy in hotels where outlets are few and far between, and everyone in your group has their own MagicBand+.
Our favorite features: It’s lightweight, doesn’t overheat, and is guaranteed to work seamlessly with MagicBand+. Would we buy it again? In a heartbeat. It made charging our bands completely stress-free and saved a ton of time each night. Did it make our trip easier? Yes, no more arguing about who gets the charger first!
