Over the last few years, we’ve seen more construction walls than we care to mention, demolition of classic lands, and new attractions that we’ve loved. Each week, we like to do a recap of the biggest news you might have missed, and this week, Disney got BUSY! Let’s break it all down right here.

Prepare for your minds to be BLOWN! This week was a big one for the Orlando theme park, and our top three stories have a little something for almost everyone.

A New Attraction Has Arrived

We have been waiting for this week since 2023! Zootopia: Better Zoogether has finally debuted in Animal Kingdom.

The new show takes you into the world of the popular film as we celebrate Zoogether Day, a day that brings the entire Zootopia community together. This show features the return of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps before the debut of Zootopia 2 later in November. The show is a 4D experience (complete with carrot vision glasses), which replaced the long-standing It’s Tough To Be A Bug show.

We got to experience the show ahead of its formal debut, and it left us with tons of thoughts. Now, it’s open for any Animal Kingdom guests to enjoy! In addition to the debut of the show, the park also debuted a new meet and greet if you want to meet our favorite Zootopia Police Department employees.

Not only are Nick and Judy near the new show, but you can also snack on newly released bites and sips! Over at Isle of Java, you can try the new Clawhauser’s Donut Macaron and the Bunny Burrow Coffee.

We are seriously excited to see one of the new attractions finally open in Disney World, and this just made us even more excited for what’s to come. You can read our full thoughts on the new show right here!

We Just Watched the NEW ‘Zootopia’ Show in Disney World, and We Have SO Much to Tell You

It’s Christmas Time in Disney World

This week, Christmas officially started around Disney World! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights kicked off, signaling the beginning of the holiday season. 

Christmas is HERE!

The two after-hours parties in Disney World feature limited-time entertainment, specialty snacks, rare characters, low wait times, and SO MUCH MORE! These events are some of our favorites of the entire year because of how special and extra magical they feel.

We attended the first night of both after-hours parties, and we were left with SO much to think about. From those crazy long lines (we’re looking at you, Jack and Sally meet and greet) to those snacks that aren’t totally worth your time, we have lots of opinions!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom runs on select nights from Friday, November 7th to Sunday, December 21st, 2025. Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios runs on select nights from November 8th and December 22nd, 2025.

The Perch Is Almost Open

Finally, a new bar is about to open at the Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney shared the opening date and name! The Perch is the new lobby bar that we’ve been watching for months. It formally opens on November 10th, 2025, and we even got a look at the menu and prices.

The Perch’s primary offerings will be two exclusive cocktails themed to the flavors that define the hotel’s namesake state:

• The $22 Floridian 75 will feature Ford’s Gin, Florida Citrus Cordial, and lemon topped with Taittinger ‘La Francaise’ Brut Champagne.
• Meanwhile, the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac will feature Siesta Key Coffee Rum, Demerara, Absinthe Rinse, Peychaud’s Bitters, and lemon essence for $17.50.

They also shared a full wine list along with three locally brewed beers — 3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale from St. Petersburg, Florida, Funky Buddha Floridian Hefeweizen from Oakland Park, Florida, and Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Tampa, Florida — available for $11.75 each.

We’ve been monitoring the construction of the new bar, so this is big news!

The Perch at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
