Happy holidays! We are officially kicking off the holiday season for the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year!
This is one of our favorite events of the year because we get to enjoy some exclusive holiday fun, including special entertainment, character meet and greets, special food (our favorite thing!), and more. So come with us as we head on into the party!
We’ll be updating this post throughout the night as we experience more of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so keep checking back for the latest!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event that happens on select nights in Magic Kingdom from now through December 21st. It takes place after Magic Kingdom closes early to regular park guests at 6 PM, with the party officially starting at 7 PM, but you can actually enter Magic Kingdom with a party ticket at 4 PM.

The lines are long!
Getting Started
The Cast Members will put the party wristband on you as you enter into Magic Kingdom, and from there, it’s time to party!

Entrance
This is what this year’s wristband looks like…

Crowds
When we arrived at Magic Kingdom, the crowds entering for the party were large, as this party is completely sold out. As a reminder, if you are entering Magic Kingdom with only a party ticket, you will be standing outside the gates in the sun! If you’re already in Magic Kingdom on the day you have a party ticket for, you can pick up a wristband at different spots inside the park.

Once inside, guests will begin walking to receive their party wristbands!

Merchandise
Okay, you can’t go to a Disney World party and NOT check out the merchandise, so yes, there are some exclusive pieces of merchandise you may want to grab. Here are a few highlights that caught our eye!
First up, we have this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Spirit Jersey for $79.99!

Then, you can grab the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Loungefly Bag for $85.

Food
The best part about this party (at least in our foodie opinion) is that you can get FREE cookies, hot chocolate, and apple cider. FREE FOOD? SIGN US UP! You’ll see locations for where the free food and drinks are available in your party map.

Buttercream Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Chocolate
However, you’ll also have the opportunity to buy some party-exclusive snacks. Yes, we’re trying THEM ALL, so we’ll be sure to get you reviews.
First, we got the Christmas Wreath Cupcake for $6.99 from Main Street Bakery. This is a peppermint confetti cupcake filled with chocolate ganache and topped with marshmallow buttercream and chocolate décor. The base cupcake mostly tasted like a funfetti cupcake, with a hint of peppermint flavor, but it wasn’t an in-your-face peppermint. There was a teeny tiny bit of chocolate ganache in the middle. It was very fudgy and rich, but there was so little of it.

We then headed over to Aloha Isle to try the Pomegranate Yule Float for $7.79! We were excited to try this! It reminded us of a cherry limeade, but think pomegranate instead of cherry. The ginger ale added a nice bubbly feel. The Bobba popping pearls tasted like pomegranate, which is a nice surprise, as sometimes the Bobba pearls don’t add a strong taste.

Pomegranate Yule Float
Over at Pinocchio Village Haus, you can try the Holiday Ravioli for $9.29. We really enjoyed these! You get a lot of ravioli, which makes it a good deal in our opinion. These were crispy, cheesy, and it’s a filling option.

Entertainment
There’s also a LOT of entertainment to check out during the party, and we recommend prioritizing the things you want to see ahead of time. First, you can watch the Frozen Holiday Surprise on the castle stage at 6:15 and 8:15 PM.

Frozen Holiday Surprise
You can also watch Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration on the stage at 7:40, 9:25, 10:35, and 11:55 PM.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is at 10 PM!
And of course, no party is complete without Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade!
The parade features all your favorite Disney characters and LOTS of holiday cheer.
You can catch the parade at 8:30 and 11 PM!
Santa’s Christmas Carnival
This year, Storybook Circus has been transformed into Santa’s Christmas Carnival, and it’s SO much fun. This is where you can meet the jolly old elf himself.
Be sure to give him a visit and let him know what you want for Christmas!
Characters
It’s really fun to make your way around the party and meet some characters you wouldn’t normally get to meet, like Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. When we got in line at 4PM, the wait was 60 minutes. This is a good idea if they are a must-do for you, because you can finish before the actual party starts!

We’d love to live like Jack & Sally.
You Can Find the FULL List of Characters to Meet Here!
Dance Parties
Kids and adults alike were getting their groove on at Disney Jr. Jingle Jam! This gives you a chance to dance with characters from popular Disney Jr. shows.
But that’s not the only dance party in town. Club Tinsel was playing some of our favorite hits over in Tomorrowland, while some of our favorite characters were getting their groove on.
There are plenty of opportunities to dance the night away during the party.
Rides
The map will also tell you which rides are available during the party. This is a great chance to hop on your favorite rides with super low wait times. However, even better is that some rides get a special holiday overlay for the season. Here’s what’s open:

- Jingle Cruise — featuring a Holiday overlay!
