The Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic-related shutdown of Disney World, but Disney has just revealed that it will finally be reopening!

The Garden View Lounge is set to reopen sometime “in early 2026,” and we’ve got all the details released so far!
Disney recently revealed that the Garden View Lounge will be reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort in early 2026, as part of the ongoing refurbishment and lobby updates the hotel is currently undergoing.

While Disney hasn’t released many details so far, we do know that the lounge will reopen “with a refreshed look that complements the new lobby design.”

Not only that, but it was announced that as part of the reopening, the Garden View Lounge will offer a new tea experience with “whimsical Disney touches.” The lounge was previously home to an afternoon tea experience, so we’re excited to see how this new offering compares!

Disney also revealed the name and opening date of the new lobby bar coming to the Grand Floridian! The Perch officially opens on November 10th! We can’t wait to check it out and will be bringing you our FULL review when we do.

Will definitely head back to GF for tea service. However, just got back today from having tea service at The Cake Bake Shop at Boardwalk and it was fantastic!

I’m encouraged that it’s finally reopening, but skeptical. Changing the name to “lounge” & offering a “whimsical tea experience” means what?
So excited! It has been too long. This experience is one of the reasons why I stay here.
Translation: much less theming that would have reflected the old classic Grand Floridian and twice the price tag that will feature a teabag with a Disney character. When was the last time Disney did anything that was better and cheaper than what they used to have?
