Are you making plans to visit Disney World in early 2026? If so, you might be interested in attending the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Now, this is my personal favorite EPCOT festival, and there is so much to do for both art lovers AND food lovers alike. But this year, you’ll find something NEW at the festival.
That’s because Disney is bringing the artwork from its Lorcana trading card game to the Festival of the Arts. Doesn’t that feel like the perfect fit for the festival?
Disney World just shared the dates for the 2026 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, which will be happening from January 16th through February 23rd. Disney also announced that for the first time ever, Lorcana will be coming to the festival “with exciting activities designed for the whole family showcasing the beautiful artwork on each card.” Disney also said that this was just a teaser of what’s to come!
Lorcana is a collectible trading card game (think something sort of like Magic The Gathering, but with Disney characters). The game takes place in an enchanted realm called Lorcana, where you take on the role of an “Ilumineer” who has the power to wield six magical links to summon glimmers, magical versions of Disney characters who get their power from the ink they represent. Each ink enhances a character’s skills, personality, powers, etc.
Each card has gorgeous artwork, so it totally makes sense to showcase that art at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Plus it’s another activity that the whole family can enjoy while attending the festival. Meanwhile, you’ll also get to eat all the eats, see the Disney on Broadway concert series, help paint a mural, watch artists in action, and more.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more EPCOT Festival of the Arts announcements, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
