3…2…1…we have take-off, people! The long-awaited AstroFizz snack stand at Magic Kingdom is officially OPEN!

Now, you may remember Cool Ship, which was the popular snack kiosk in Tomorrowland. Cool Ship closed in May of 2025. This closure was dedicated to a transformation: say hello to AstroFizz, a new snack kiosk rebuilt with a fresh new look. Recently, we talked about how exciting it was that the walls were down around this kiosk, but we had NO idea it was going to be open THE VERY NEXT DAY! Come with us to check it out!

Disney did not share an exact opening date, but we knew it would be open on or before November 7th! This is because Disney World released its full list of treats for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the event runs on select nights from November 7th through 21st (yes, that soon). The list of menu items included a special party-exclusive snack at AstroFizz, a Cherry-White Chocolate Slushy. Due to that information, we knew it could open at any time — but its opening today (November 1st) was definitely a welcome surprise!

We’re loving this new remodel, with its modern style while still maintaining a retro ’50s look and feel.

We can’t wait to try the new snacks, treats, and drinks. We’ve been looking forward to the three frozen slushies since Disney teased them! Menu items include:

• Popcorn — $5.99
• Cinnamon-glazed Nuts — $5.99
• Cotton Candy — $5.49
• Assorted Fountain Beverages — $4.79
• Frozen Slushy: Coca-Cola, Fanta Blue Raspberry, or Fanta Orange — $6.49
• Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar — $6.49
• Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich — $6.49
• Frozen Lemonade Cup –$6.29
• Outshine Strawberry Fruit Bar — $5.99

Speaking of snacks we’re excited to try, the NEW Cherry Cola Churros are something we have been DYING to enjoy — and now we finally can! They look so unique, and they sound delicious. They’re listed at $7.49.

Now, we are calling this a “surprise opening,” but we did get a little tip that the stand was in testing mode recently. Some lucky Magic Kingdom visitors got to try the churros and other treats EARLY — before AstroFizz officially opened. A few of our readers on Instagram informed us that there was a SOFT OPENING during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 31st.

We got a message from @_sierra_burns_ mentioning that around 6 PM,  AstroFizz had a soft opening. Cherry Cola Churros were, in fact, bought! Thanks for the tip!

Another one of our readers, @carolbake, also got the Cherry Cola Churros last night! They sent us a message as well, stating, “AstroFizz has a soft opening tonight. We got to try the churros.” Thanks for the pictures, and we hope you enjoyed them!

During our visit to Magic Kingdom on November 1st (the official opening day for AstroFizz), a Cast Member informed us that there would be a delay on the churros and slushies. The machines were not working — we’ll chalk it up to some opening-day kinks. Don’t worry, though. We are staking out this spot like true detectives. We’re on the case!
