Something NEW is arriving at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in just ONE week! Recently, it has felt like closure after closure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There have been many closures to prepare for the new land, Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas-themed land coming to Animal Kingdom in 2027. Additionally, Kali River Rapids and Harambe Market are both temporarily closed for refurbishment.

This time around, though, something is OPENING! It is not technically a new location, but it is a brand-new show at a previously inhabited location. Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opens in just a week, on November 7th, 2025, and we can’t wait. This new show is taking the place of It’s Tough to Be a Bug, with a fresh new look and a whole new story. Whether you are a fan of Zootopia or are just looking for somewhere to sit for a bit, we are happy to welcome this new addition to Animal Kingdom. Plus, a NEW meet and greet is arriving in Animal Kingdom! A new show AND a new meet and greet — that is two major upgrades for Animal Kingdom.
Ahead of the grand opening of the two upgrades on November 7th, the show will be welcoming Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club members for a preview of the new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Disney also just shared a FIRST LOOK at the new show, including the brand-new entrance sign. This show will be presented in Carrot Vision 3D, so don’t forget to grab your glasses before you head in! The show will be 4D, so you will also experience other effects, but Disney has confirmed that nothing will be poking you in the back during this show. It also looks like the queue has some new items to peruse while you wait to grab your seat.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will be “a celebration of unity amongst the diverse biomes across the city, and will be recognized with special performances such as ice-skating spectaculars from the heart of Tundratown! Synchronized swimming direct from Marsh Market! Tiny mouse drone shows soaring over Little Rodentia! And of course, a musical finale by superstar Gazelle – all of which we’ll see from the livestream watch party.”
