Houston, we have takeoff. A new snack stand has landed in Magic Kingdom, and while I’m still shedding tears for Cool Ship (and if you don’t get my sentiment, it’s been around for 31 years, which is pretty iconic), here at Disney Food Blog, we’re pretty dang excited for new snacks.

We can’t wait to eat here again

On a ride on the PeopleMover, we saw a new update that officially confirms all the speculations and marks a new chapter in Tomorrowland.

That’s a new sign, everybody! This was the area that used to be Cool Ship, which was completely taken down and rebuilt under the new name AstroFizz.

The iconic red spaceship flew away and was replaced with a more modern style. It still has the retro feeling with the colors, blending right into Tomorrowland.

When you check it out on My Disney Experience, AstroFizz officially shows up on the map — exactly where Cool Ship was!

The snack stand is going to be brought to you by Coca-Cola and will have “buttery popcorn and fluffy cotton candy” along with “frozen slushies or assorted Coca-Cola Fountain Beverages.” On Instagram, Disney teased that Coca-Cola, Fanta Blue Raspberry, and Fanta Orange Frozen slushies will be coming. I’m so excited to get a Coke slushie outside of the movie theater.

They also showed the Cherry Cola Churro, which is a churro rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with Coca-Cola Cherry icing, and topped with cherry popping candies. I love specialty churros, so I’m here for it.

For Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, AstroFizz will be serving Cherry-White Cocolate Slushy, which is Fanta Cherry served with a crackable white chocolate-coated cup with whipped cream, cherry gummy candy, and festive sprinkles. This will only be available during party hours, so make sure you time your snacking right.

We might not have been able to say goodbye to Cool Ship, but AstroFizz seems to be a worthy successor with its Coca-Cola snacks. Considering I always have a fountain Coke or bottle of Coke at any given moment when I’m at Disney World, I think this is going to be a popular spot for me.
