Disney World is going through a period of change like we have never seen before! Lands are closing left and right, and classic attractions are seeing some pretty big makeovers.

Another one bites the dust!

We love the idea of new projects, but we won’t lie! Change is hard, and now 2 more restaurants have permanently closed in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Let’s check out what’s closed and what is taking its place!

Two more Animal Kingdom restaurants have joined the Disney World graveyard! To make way for Pueblo Esperanza, DinoLand U.S.A. is closing permanently. Disney has closed the popular land in phases, which kicked off in January 2025. Now, Dino Bite Snacks and Trilo-Bites have closed forever. 

Dino Bite Snacks is closed!

Dino-Bite Snacks was home to some famous snacks, like their big ice cream sandwiches that often rotate based on the seasons. We are seriously hoping these reappear somewhere else in the park!

Over at Trilo-Bites, their famous Buffalo Chicken Chips will move to Eight Spoon Cafe on Discovery Island. We’re shouting from the rooftops! Dole Whip Floats will move to Warung Outpost in Africa, and while you won’t be able to get hand-scooped ice cream again until February, you can still find soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, and floats at Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Anandapur Ice Cream Truck.

Buffalo Chicken Chips

As far as food in DinoLand goes, that means only Restaurantosaurus is still open at this time. Disney previously announced that Restaurantosaurus would be closing on February 1st, but that some of those menu options would be coming to Harambe Market — along with some updates to that spot. In addition to Dino-Bites and Trilo-Bites, Harambe Market has now closed, but this closure is only temporary. 

Trilo Bites is closed for good!

The quick service will reopen in 2026, we are assuming, in time for Restaurantosaurus to close. These permanent closures are making way for new options coming to Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas-themed land.

The new land will feature attractions inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones, along with new shopping, dining, and more. The new quick service will be in a large hacienda that will become one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World.

Construction has been going strong around this area of Animal Kingdom, so be aware of that before heading to the park. The park is also in the process of opening a new show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether, which opens on November 7th, 2025. Things are certainly more wild than usual!

We are never excited to see a permanent closure hit the parks, but we are seriously looking forward to everything coming to the new land. We’re also selfishly glad that some of our favorite snacks have found some new homes. (Disney, make sure you start rehoming those ice cream sandwiches.)
