We can’t believe it’s been almost a YEAR since we saw the first part of Wicked in theaters. Thankfully, the second part is about to debut, and you KNOW we’re running straight to the movies to see the next installment. It’s been hard to escape the promotion of the Wicked movies — even our grocery store mac and cheese got a pink and green Wicked makeover. So, it’s safe to say the movies are…🎶”popular…you’re gonna be popular.“🎶 (Sorry, we had to!)
Wicked: For Good will be released in theaters on November 21st, but Universal Orlando just announced something VERY exciting, and it’s starting even sooner! Beginning October 31st, a new immersive experience will arrive at Wicked: The Experience inside Universal Studios!
To celebrate the upcoming release of the new film, the Wicked: The Experience store (which is different than the Wicked store in CityWalk; this one in Universal Studios is larger with different experiences and merchandise) will be getting new film props, photo ops, merchandise, and other surprises. Ooh — we are INTRIGUED.
According to Universal, you will travel “beyond the yellow brick road” to explore immersive spaces inspired by iconic locations from the films, like Shiz University and Emerald City. Look out for displays of costumes and props from the upcoming film. You’ll also be able to shop for new merchandise inspired by Wicked: For Good! The new collection celebrates the Land of Oz and fan-favorite characters from the new film. Here’s a little preview of the new merch!
That’s not all, though! There are also new treats to experience — all inspired by the new film. Here’s a peek at the Yellow Road Shake with Dulce de Leche ice cream at Schwab’s Pharmacy ice cream shop…
…the Wizards Elixir Shake with Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream at Schwab’s Pharmacy ice cream shop…
…the Wicked For Good Sundae…
…and finally, the Popular Potion and Enchanting Elixir.
We can’t wait to try out these new treats and check out the new version of the experience — once we step inside, we expect to say, 🎶 “I have been changed for good.” 🎶
