Universal Orlando is testing something new!
Signs for Express Pass “Single Attraction Access” popped up at a few attractions around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on October 16th, advising parkgoers that they can skip the line at certain attractions with a one-time use Express Pass at that attraction only.
Universal Orlando is testing a new type of Express Pass out at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! It was reported that signs had been placed out in front of certain attractions advising guests of a limited-time “Single Attraction Access” option.

We looked in the Universal Orlando app and sure enough, the information was listed right there too. Currently, this Single Attraction Access Express Pass costs $25 per ride and is available at Revenge of the Mummy…
…and Skull Island: Reign of Kong. It’s noted in the app that the “offers sell out fast” and that they’re only available for a limited time. It also looks like you can only select one “offer,” or ride, at a time.
In the past, Universal’s Express Pass was something that was purchased park-wide, meaning when you purchased it, you could use it on all attractions (save for a select few). This new option gives people the chance to skip the line at just one attraction at a much lower price than paying for the Express Pass for the whole park.
Universal Orlando offers two variants of the Express Pass for their main theme parks, each of which is variably priced based on seasonal crowd levels. The Universal Express pass allows guests to “skip the lines” one time per participating ride and starts at $119.99 per person. There’s also the Universal Express Unlimited option, which is more expensive but allows unlimited skips of the line at participating rides.
We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates about this new change and whether or not it continues to be implemented at other attractions around the parks. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Universal and theme park news!

Just how much money do universal and Disney think people have !!!
No I wouldn’t buy it nor the Disney one . They are going to lose normal families . Orlando is going to be only for the rich !
We are dvc members from U K we used to come every year now it’s every 3 years and my daughters just sold her dvc membership . My dvc membership may go too ! It’s just crazy expensive now ! Very very sad
I do like the concept; we are planning a vacation to the Universal Trilogy and while the Skip the Line is nice, I doubt we would use it on most of the rides. This could be a nice middle of the road option.
Another money grab. After my EPIC FAIL trip in June, I am protesting Universal. I need to save those $$ for every single increase Disney imposes on us.
I don’t mind paying for a special ride, but $25 for a ride that doesn’t really have a long wait is excessive
