The Walt Disney Company is shaking things up at the executive level yet again.
While we still don’t know who the next CEO will be after Bob Iger officially leaves in 2026, reports have indicated that there is one clear leader. But it looks like Disney has made another executive change ahead of the CEO swap — Michael Moriarty has just been named Executive Vice President and CFO of Disney Experiences.
Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced on October 14th that Michael Moriarty would be taking over as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Disney Experiences. Kevin Lansberry, who is currently in the role, will be retiring in February 2026.
Before this, Moriarty served as the President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. He has nearly 20 years of experience in different leadership positions at the Walt Disney Company, including as the former CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering.
In his role as President and Managing Director at Hong Kong Disneyland, the resort expanded with the new World of Frozen, which opened in 2024. As of now, Disney has not made an official announcement on who will succeed Moriarty at Hong Kong Disneyland.
“Michael Moriarty brings a deep understanding of our long-term strategy to broaden the reach and impact of Disney Experiences,” D’Amaro said. “His global perspective and leadership will help guide us through an exciting chapter of growth, reaching new fans in new places and on new platforms.”
We’ll be on the lookout for more updates on The Walt Disney Company and beyond. In the meantime, stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro should be fired given the sad state of WDW – decades of neglect, deferred maintenance and under investment combined with massive price increase and a ridiculously degraded guest experience.
We guests need someone from outside of Disney to take over. Fresh ideas and a. New inspiration not the same old thinking.
