Is there anything better than a Mickey-shaped snack?

The Mickey Beignet
We recently stopped by Disneyland Paris to check out the updates on the park’s expansion, taste some champagne on Main Street, and more. During our stop, we were craving something sweet and shaped like the mouse we love so much. That’s what led us to the Mickey Beignet from Cookie Kitchen!
If you’re like us and expected a Mickey Beignet more like the ones from Scat Cat Club Cafe in Disney World, you aren’t alone. No, this Mickey Beignet from Cookie Kitchen was more akin to a donut with hazelnut filling for €4,5, which is roughly $5.30.

The Cookie Kitchen!
This treat was a popular one — it was honestly one of the longest lines we waited in during our time at the park! After trying it out, we can see why people enjoy it so much.

Rows of donuts!
Texturally, this treat was a bit heavier and more dense (like a donut) than we would expect from a light and airy beignet. While it was different than our expectations, that didn’t make it bad! The breading was fresh and slightly cakey, which we did enjoy.

How they put the hazelnut inside!
Our biggest complaint regarding this sweet was that we wanted more hazelnut filling! The spread was perfectly creamy and sweet. It felt more homemade rather than a mass-produced spread, and we loved that. The issue? There wasn’t much of it!

The inside!
The spread was more towards the bottom of the beignet, making the treat unbalanced. If it were spread more throughout the dessert, this would be close to perfect. It wasn’t overly sweet or sugary, but it was chocolately and familiar. It was also easily shareable thanks to its size.

So tasty!
We will daydream about this Mickey Beignet for a while. It was easily shareable, and honestly, it didn’t last long, which is the sign of a good Mickey-shaped treat. Considering some of the other bites in this park were underwhelming, this might be one of the best desserts we tried on the entire trip.
