Hi parents! Are you planning a Disney World trip with a toddler and stressed to the max?! Trust me, I have been there a few times, and I get it.
And while planning a Disney trip with a little one can feel stressful, we are here to help. We have a team full of parents who have taken our kiddos to the parks at all different ages. So trust us when we say we have so much experience and all the tips. From the best stroller to finds that will keep you sane while you wait in lines, we have got you covered. Now, take a deep breath and let’s get to planning!
Theme Park Essentials
Stroller Fan
This might be the most important thing on the list, especially if you are visiting Disney in the spring or summer. You will need a stroller fan with a reliable battery life. It gets HOT in Disney World, and it gets even HOTTER in a stroller. So, this is the best way to keep your little one cool, cozy, and happy.
Whiskware Snack Cups
If you know anything about toddlers, then you know they love their snacks. You also know that toddler-approved food is hard to come by (even in Disney World). That’s where these snack cups come in. You can load up your toddler’s favorite snacks and be ready to go each day.
We love that they stack, so they can easily fit in your park bag, and the Disney theme is just the cherry on top.
Disposable Place Mats
Toddlers can be MESSY. And it can be stressful, feeling like you need to clean up a big mess or feeling like you’re leaving a big mess for Cast Members. To solve that problem, we bring disposable placemats. These not only keep the area clean, but they often have cute little activities that keep toddlers busy when you’re at a restaurant. A WIN-WIN, people!
I like these specific ones because they have sticky edges. You peel it and can actually stick the placemats to the table, so you don’t have to worry about your toddler pulling it down.
Play Packs/Sticker Books
These are so easy to travel with or to give your littles something to do when eating or during downtime in the hotel room or at the parks. We love them because they’re inexpensive but oh, so useful!
Stroller Organizer
As you can see, you will likely find yourself bringing a lot of stuff to the parks. To help with that, we suggest a stroller organizer. Something that holds your phone, your drink, and whatever else you need easy and quick access to.
Pacifier Clip
If your little one relies on a pacifier, a clip will be essential in the parks. The last thing you want is for the pacifier to hit the ground or to get LOST. I love this one because it clips on easily, is inexpensive, and just look at that Mickey!!
Rain Jacket
If you know DFB, then you know we are constantly stressing that you need a poncho. And it’s TRUE, y’all. But the likelihood that your toddler is going to wear a poncho is slim — I know mine wouldn’t. So, we suggest bringing a rain jacket instead. These are easy to get on and off and will still keep your baby dry.
Portable Diaper Pad/Disposable Diaper Pad
This one pretty much explains itself. Yes, Disney bathrooms are clean. But you don’t wanna place your little one on a changing table with nothing else. And having something to change your baby on in the hotel room is nice as well. We suggest bringing a diaper bag that has one in the bag, bringing a travel one that folds up, or even just packing some puppy pads (yes, you read that right).
Boogie Hand Wipes
Germs are everywhere, and your little one will be tempted to touch everything in the parks. These are great for after eating or in between those bathroom breaks when you just need to clean those sweet little hands!
Airtag Holders
Mom anxiety is real, and we know that Disney World has a lot of people. For peace of mind, you can grab an AirTag. We like putting on our toddler’s shoes. Is it necessary? Probably not. But does it make us feel better? 100%. And these are waterproof!
Water Bottle
Our favorite water bottles for kids in Disney are the ones from Simple Modern. They do a great job of keeping everything cold, they are easy to clean, and the perfect size as well.
Mockingbird Stroller
Almost everyone on our team agreed that the Mockingbird Strollers (or those like it) are perfect for Disney World. They are a good size, easy to maneuver in the parks, and have plenty of storage.
Hotel Toddler Essentials
Travel Bath
Did you know that bathtubs are not guaranteed at Disney World hotels? Yeah, a lot of the newer hotels and refurbished rooms only have showers. So if you have a little one who needs to be in an actual tub instead of a shower, then you should snag an inflatable travel tub!
Travel Bed
You can ask for a roll-in crib when staying at a Disney World hotel, but if your toddler no longer sleeps in a crib, then you may be seeking a different option. We like to bring an inflatable travel bed. These are closer to the ground than Disney World beds. They also have safety sides, so you don’t have to worry about your little one rolling off!
Slumber Pod
Speaking of beds. Another great find for hotel rooms is a slumber pod. This will fit over a crib or the inflatable bed and will help make sure the room is dark. We know so many babies need extreme darkness to fall asleep, and this will help you achieve that in a Disney World hotel room!
Portable Sound Machine
Hatch sounds machines can be kind of bulky to travel with. So if your little one relies on their Hatch or other sound machine for brown noise or a red light, you might want to get a smaller travel option. This one is SO small and will make sure you have brown noise so you can all sleep peacefully.
These are a few things that have really helped us with our little ones in Disney World, and we know they will help you, too!
