OPENING TIMELINE Announced for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Big changes are coming to Hollywood Studios!

Disney dropped a bunch of news today, like several price increases at Disney World, new updates to Frozen Ever After, and the opening timeline for the Muppets Roller Coaster! Grab your guitars because we’re going to be rockin’ sooner than you think.

Get ready for some mayhem in Summer 2026 because the Muppets will have officially taken over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Disney announced Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets back in November 2024, and we’ve been watching updates on this retheme like a hawk.

In addition to the opening timeline confirmation, Disney has also shared a first of its kind Muppet Animatronic will make its way into the attraction! Disney has shared that Scooter, as band manager, along with the penguin audio engineers, will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert! They confirmed this will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an audio animatronic and that he might not be the only one in the attraction. However, they said we will have to learn more about that at a later date.

Throughout the attraction, we will be getting a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been warned, G-Force Records has a snazzy new look now that Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, is in charge. To celebrate the Summer 2026 timeline, Disney also shared a new poster to kick it all off.

We’re seriously excited to jam out with this entire crew next summer! At the time of writing, Disney has not confirmed when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will close for the retheme. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news and updates.
